  1. Tacklewarehouse had Shimano 70's on clearance, but the reviews had me with mixed emotions. I would like to cast 1/16 lures but I know that's not reasonable. I'd be happy with 1/8 for sure. Also what pound line would yall recommend? And flouro, mono, braid? I've never done lightweight stuff with baitcaster.
  2. So I'm in the market for a small baitcaster. I have a couple M 6' rods I want to use for river fishing casting lightweight lures. These are not bass rods per se, Zebco Omega Rods I use to panfish and crappie fish with. Only problem i dont use em because there are zebcos on them. So hence to reason for smaller baitcasters. I dont want to spend crazy amount. ~$150 and below. Recommendations? Pictures?
  3. @BigBassBo I like that bait, especially the idea of snag free and weedless, thanks for that. I'll be ordering a couple. I'm typically a Cavitron patreon, any color blade with a smallish swimbait. I've used the toads but makes the bait heavy and sometimes run funny
  4. Awesome day bruh!
  5. Any of the DT series and big fan of X-rap propbait
  6. I absolutely hate wacky hooks. Hook ratio flatout sucked. Always skinned hooked in the back of the mouth. Watched a few videos, asked around, and settled on a 2/0 VMC neko hook. My hookup ratio has been near about 100% and it's just as weedless as anything else out there. I promise if you try it, you will not go back to anything else
  7. Nice one! Persistence pays off
  8. My comment gets removed? Cool
  9. Praying
  10. @Paul Roberts- ?? I promise I mean no disrespect, just a friendly fishing discussion. I enjoy following you and watching your videos!
  11. While I do agree, time spent on the water and locations play a huge part, I have to think he specifically chose the buzzbait for a reason. If not he woulda just thrown a T-rig worm around for all his years.
  12. So happy for ya! Coming from a fellow dog person congrats!!
  13. Since this thread popped back up almost a year later, mine has completely changed. I have flat wore them out and always pick up now a wacky rigged, junebug GY 5" senko on 7'3 spinning combo. Big or small bass, man it catches em!
  14. He had numerous baits to choose from and chose to only fish with and master the buzzbait. I'm sure he would've tried it, but would have undoubtedly reverted back to his confidence bait, the buzzbait.
  15. I wouldn't change anything. Just slow your approach and downsize your baits
  16. Cheezits do sound good lol. Dont throw away your air fryer because you dont know how to use it. Experiment and try things, I use mine a ton. Of course everything deep fried is better. America's obesity epidemic attests to that, I just personally think limit deep fried a bit and try the air fried fish! You can even use your air fried fish in a fish soup. (Dont knock it lol)
  17. I think 10mins then flip, then 10 more. Breading is no good on there. Just season heavy and mix butter and lemon. Kinda like oven baked fish. But I do it with good results. Alot healthier that way
  18. Barbless? Is that even considered real fishing?
  19. That's a great day anywhere, congrats man!
  20. Must be! Same way in South ga. I even throw Junebug flukes in relatively clear water simply because I'm wanting to imitate a bluegill. Very rarely do I opt for green pumpkin colors, even in my mostly tannic water
  21. Here in Ga you walk outside and pollen gives you Covid19 symptoms. Go inside and news is telling you more people are dying. Being stuck at home is lousy. Makes us appreciate 'normal' alot better. I work at a pulp mill, so were in full swing. I start graveyard shift tomorrow but thinking of burning some sick days. Just makes you wonder what's the right move.
  22. Pretty close.
  23. Absolutely. "Large Black Coffee"
  24. BRCC yeeesss!!! I'm a coffee nut, black and strong. Hit me with the best
