  1. Sluggish after the spawn? In my parts that's exactly the opposite. Water is warming and cranking up their appetites. Now is when you should be upsizing your baits not downsizing. I guess it's just me but I've grown weary of the word finesse. Everywhere you look people are downsizing and calling it finesse. Finesse swimbaits Finesse topwater Finesse t-rigs Maybe it's just me, not throwing shade at you op just voicing my opinion
  2. Even though the water is dirty, focus on forage. What are the fish normally accustomed to eating? If shad, definitely throw white. If bluegill, throw dark colors. Your simply creating a silhouette the fish are accustomed to seeing and adding some flash and vibration. Dont over think muddy water.
  3. I have 2 Aird-X's one spinning and one casting. For the price, it's a no brainer. Is there better rods, absolutely, But for $50 there aint
  4. Depends on bottom and vegetation. If I can I always prefer a jig over T-rig. It's when to much vegetation or muck on the bottom I switch to something weedless.
  5. I use em, great little baits
  6. Dark colored skirts and big thumpin blades
  7. War eagles finesse 5/16 spinnerbait has always earned a spot in my boat. Solid producing little spinnerbait
  8. And your next door to Hiawassee, Lake Chatuge. Unicoi park has a nice lake, Vogel park has a nice lake. You have many options, make sure you bring clear water gear. https://www.gon.com/fishing/georgia-fishing-reports/lake-burton Keep a close eye on the fishing reports
  9. I've swapped several of my combos back to mono, mostly 10-12lb big game. It just flat works
  10. I throw a propbait from now till winter hits again, I have modified Smithwick devils horse's for years. Hard to beat. But last year I've swapped up to Rapala X-Rap props. Must say I'm really digging them. Go watch videos from recent Okeechobee tournament, lot of guys slinging propbaits. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DKErqEaGZSnw&ved=2ahUKEwj3iMqulInvAhWnrFkKHZjVBgoQ28sGMAF6BAgBEBs&usg=AOvVaw1ITrLSN6F2na9yEpNZVxQ3
  11. If you fish over 5hrs, easy go 24v. Or if you wanna be cheap buy a 12v and pack 2 batteries. Let the wind pick up and you'll be on motor non stop.
  12. In a pond I normally fish, its roughly 10acres or so, extremely grassy and full of cypress trees, and back half is covered in duckweed. Where will the bass bed in this pond? Average depth is around 4ft, again grass everywhere! What are some things to look for? Tannic water if that helps. I caught a couple on a frog in the duckweed a couple days ago, water temp was 56°. Weve had a huge warming trend, 80° plus days and plenty of rain. I'm just looking for some insight on what I should target.
  13. Georgia is the best still. ✌ Change my mind...
  14. @Team9nine @Bluebasser86 are yall vertically fishing those blade baits? Never fished them, genuinely curious.
  15. It really is cool to see everyones different orders. That's what I love about this site. Other than a few commons, everyones orders are so different based on location. Its neat to see the northern guys, southern guys, western guys, etc... all ordering such a vastly different array of tackle.
  16. Thanks! That helped make my decision
  17. Well I had some Scorecard rewards saved up, picked up this unit for $498.22 out the door. Hopefully good price for good unit. This will be my first depth finder with more than 2d charts. And I do like the fact that I will probably add Livescope next year
  18. 5" GY senko, junebug, rigged with Heat shrink and a #2 Neko hook.
  19. https://www.bassfishinelectronics.com/collections/new-garmin-units/products/copy-of-garmin-echomap-uhd-93sv-fishfinder-chartplotter-combo-w-gt54-transducer-and-us-lakevu-g3-charts Anyone use this unit? Pretty happy with it? I'm about to pull the trigger on this deal.
  20. Swimbaits. Got 1 ferocious bite, and that's it
  21. My main hook unless I fish cover is #2 VMC neko hook. I love that hook, wacky rig, nose hook, even rig it weedless sometimes. Hookup is great! If I'm fishing lots of cover or grass, I'll use a ewg thinwire hook 3/0
  22. Shopping for a Garmin 9sv, best place to buy one other than TW?
  23. This year I've been throwing 6th sense provokes. I enjoy their crankbaits so much I figured I would try their jerkbaits. So far so good, been steady producing fish each outing. I want a Vision 110 but everytime I put one in my cart I talk myself out of it. As much people talk about them, I know they work phenomenal. If they didnt then they wouldn't get the hype
  24. Crappie and bass for sure. Bass po' boy is bomb Crappie will ruin a good bass pond so they always end up in the fryer. Usually 1lb to 2lb bass get the fryer as well, good management is key to great fisheries and selected harvest is preferred way. Select harvest straight to the fryer
