  1. Now that's a bachelor tree! ? fake one for me. I hate cleaning pine needles
  2. Well I got a question for the forum legends, I need to invest in some new jigs, what are ya'lls recommendations. I need a tough jig that can fish lots of timber, and hold up to mudfish chewing on them all day? I've been looking at seibert jigs and noticed quite a few people liking them...
  3. Man I wish we had stripers/hybrids around me. They don't do well in a muddy river...
  4. I have a couple Berkeley lightning shock rods, great rod for the money. 7" MH is great all round size. Get a 70$ Lew's reel and your set for awhile. Bassin on a budget! My grandpa uses that rod to redfish with paired up with black Max Abu reels. He loves that combo, tough, dependable, and easy on the wallet
  5. Welcome to the forum! Lots of good info on here!
  6. @Tyler. When I walk creeks in the summer I tote a backpack full of trays just like that. I use to hate setting my tackle box down, walk off fishing and have to keep walking back to get it haha
  7. Caught a couple around that size, cold front coming in, rained on me. Bite was off
  8. My go to flipping jig right now is 3/4oz. With rage craw trailer, flipping it tight to the bank High muddy rivers and bass have migrated to backs of lakes. And empty boat ramps except for the occasional hunters
  9. Cool pic Scoggins
  10. I'll take a picture when I get off work tonight, warps up the lids so they don't hardly close or seal.
  11. Alligator eats just as good as bass.
  12. I use straight braid when using topwater baits. The only instance where mono would be required is the use of prop baits, such as a devil horse. Only time I use mono is a leader on C-rig when I want my bait to float up off the bottom
  13. I store my panfish soft plastics in trays, along with jig heads etc... They do just fine However with bass soft plastics, I recommend leaving them in the original bag, and finding a way to organize them. I tried storing different color flukes and rage craws in 5$ trays from Walmart and it completely ruined the trays, within a couple months. The baits themselves were fine but the trays, not so much. So I learned the hard way that it's just best to leave them in the bag.
  14. @greentrout my personal favorite
  15. @reason I'll take my combo and head to Taco bell. Throwing shade at kast king? Haha
  16. Dobyns rods with that company we can't mentions reels Flat enjoy my setups
  17. Local pond. Which tree do you fish first haha!
  18. I guess I take the easy way out. I just throw a cast net..
  19. I don't necessarily enjoy fishing as much as I do catching. I blame my impatient culture
  20. Patience is the best thing for a cold front.
  21. I don't use a leader. Straight braid for several years. I have a fishing buddy begging me to try flouro. So this looks like a cheap way to shut him up haha! I live by the motto "fish with braid, fish with confidence"
  22. I'm sure it might affect it some, but I wouldn't think it would be terrible
  23. I really need a new outboard. Mines spent long hours river running and stump jumping, and I'm tired of mixing oil
  24. http://www.omfishingsinkers.com Tungsten on a budget
  25. @A-Jay Santa must've traded in his sleigh for that rig. Congrats
