  1. I was gonna recommend sprayed grass as well for soft plastics
  2. To me, I like it. Makes em find fish, establish a pattern, under a time limit. Just like me every time I'm on the water.
  3. Welcome to Bass Resource! Your gonna be here alot!
  4. Welcome to the one and only, Bass Resource!
  5. Welcome to Bass Resource! Nice rig man!
  6. Ok but weather might not be "cold" but it technically is January. Winter. You know same thing.. ? Still gonna be trying some early season topwater Friday. Guess folks don't fish topwater during the holiday season!
  7. If you can fish topwater 365, you have to swat mosquito's 365 ?
  8. Stickbaits seem to work ridiculously good in rivers and creeks around here. Low 40's is cold. Not many even take topwater baits when water is that cold! Modified original floating Rapala with a loop knot is one my go-tos all year in a little Creek I fish. Bass hate it. Never used a Slammer before.
  9. Oh yeah I eat tilapia now just didn't know as a kid ? Sounds like you understand the damage castnetters can do. Completely ruin a lake in just a few months.
  10. Winter Topwater, seems like an oxymoron for alot of folks, but for anybody south of the Mason-Dixon it's a reality. Right now water temps are hovering around 55° in my neck of the woods, with air temps anywhere between 80° and 35°, welcome to South Ga. Almost all bass I've been catching are in prespawn mode. I'm going Friday to a private pond, loaded with some tanks, and I'm gonna try for a topwater bite. Probably be throwing a modified Smithwick devilhorse. My question is what is the coldest water you've caught Bass in(on topwater), and what topwater bait were you slinging?
  11. @Siebert Outdoors shhhhhh don't mention purple...
  12. We had them in my home lake growing up in central Fla. Every now and then we'd foul hook one, I was taught they were a trash fish throw em back. Those are some healthy tilapia, strong fish. Ironically immigrant workers came in and started cast netting everywhere targeting tilapia (Nile perch) and almost destroyed bass fishing because they were keeping every fish they caught. DNR cracked down.
  13. Got a good selection in there!! Nice
  14. @BigAngus752 Hiawassee, Ga home of Lake Chatuge. Love that place. Kinda bummed Bassmaster found out about it last year. I was vacationing there during the AOY tournament. Toccoa is right around the corner!
  15. No monsters this past year, but caught alot of numbers. Hoping for another DD in 2019! Hoping my local rivers will stay well below flood stage. Record rainfall has kept the rivers in the treetops.
