  1. Nice Bass, 5lbs
  2. Congrats man on breaking your pb!
  3. Heavy line ftw. Location and type of water dictates what line to spool. Does light line have benefits? Sure, is it "the best"? Sure ain't. If you have confidence in 12lb test, congratulations. You sure ain't throwing your lures where I throw mine?
  4. 100 Bass days are money ?
  5. @OCdockskipper Dead ringer is a all time go to for me, I even dropshot with them. Solid producing bait, but it rarely gets mentioned at all. Dat tail tho... But I kinda like it that way ?
  6. Don't mention dead ringer, it's junk, doesn't catch fish at all.
  7. Tried a toad, made it run sideways. Went back to skirt, caught my first buzzbait Bass. I was expecting a huge blowup, but it was a subtle strike. Well I'm gonna fish em more and see. Thanks for the help fellas
  8. Sweet pic. One day that will be me... ?
  9. I'll give it a shot!
  10. So a 3/8 cavitron with a zoom horny toad instead of skirt feels kinda heavy. I hate throwing lures where I feel like I have to lob the lure. Like I don't have complete control Anybody know any lightweight/smaller toads I can try for a trailer?
  11. I bank fish several ponds and bank fish a couple small Creeks. 6'6 works great for me, I'm not after distance I'm after accuracy.
  12. Almost ALL my rods are 6'6 Fishing, cranks, spinnerbaits, T-rig, topwater, etc.. My only longer rods are dropshot and flipping
  13. Time on the water cannot be replaced. The longer you spend on the water, the better your chances are. Get out there and sling some bait
  14. The jig might be up. That space monkey might really be the bait monkey
  15. Nice catch! Big ole redears
  16. Bass like that in Maine? Nice work! 3days of FUN!
  17. I'm about an hour drive from Cullen. Private farm ponds play into the scenario big time. As I have fished around some of those ponds. But his methods do work.
  18. Do the trailers slide down any or do you glue them?
  19. Go to patterns, well I don't have any lakes to fish, but I fish rivers. Usually squarebill bouncing off structure, topwater something splashing, and flipping a craw looking bait. Generaly those are my "Big 3" usually can fine tune from there, maybe swap crank for a spinnerbait or chatterbait, topwater could be popper, frog, fluke. Just want to cover the water column and figure out wether to fish the lakes/sloughs or main river. Pretty simple
  20. Yeah that's crap. I don't even like senkos. Why can't we have a topwater day? Probably just a fluke I guess
  21. Noticed cavitrons don't have a bait keeper to keep bait from riding down. I'll just rock the skirt and trailer hook and see how that does.
  22. That buzzbait looks like money ?@scaleface
  23. I definitely don't want to increase retrieval speed if I don't have too. I knew it would add a little more weight, but figured it would increase bouyancy, no? I guess that's why that snake oil whopper plopper sells ... <-- tounge in cheek. Relax plopper fans.?
  24. We've had high rivers all last year, it really sucked. Not nowhere near that high, but high enough you can't fish. I will say now that we can fish it, fishing has been great, larger than average fish and better numbers. They've been gorging on crawfish. Hang in there man!
