I was like naw that's for northern waters lol.. He proved to me in 20fow that stinking thing flat caught fish. Zman just gained a customer. I was flat impressed
  2. You caught a 7? Ahh lucky. I was bed fishing today too, didnt catch any that big. Just a few good ones for fish tacos tonight. I actually used zoom ole monsters haha and deadly nedly's
  3. This is HILARIOUS
  4. I had my dream job, then quit because I needed a 401k and health insurance. I worked for 10yrs swamp logging. Yes just like the tv show minus the drama. I ran various tracked tigercat feller bunchers ( track cutters) I gained access to some outstanding ponds. But alas marriage and looking to the future done me in. I'm a swing shift working mill worker now.
  5. Irene wont happen, too much good information on this thread ?
  6. Brunswick is local to me. I know 1 public pond, Blythe Island park. Good bass in it but pressured during summer. Best bet is the Altamaha river if it's not blown out, also hit up the satilla. PM me and I'll tell you what baits to throw at either. But Fla bass do beat (size wise) our Ga bass. Good luck!
  7. Wow I need to go check out my local 1hr away store
  8. So close to 7 pages....
  9. Oh my... all that snow... and ice... and cold.... ??
  10. Are yalls lakes still iced? Man it's already hot here ?
  11. @Jonas Staggs idk why, it was my go to worm for a long time. I just started using a 3/8 punch rig with small creature/bug. Makes me wanna slip one on a t-rig tomorrow ?
  12. I so called it. Knew this thread was gonna be hot. 5 pages though? Let's go for 7 ??
  13. I hate to be the one bro, but Ga still has it. (Balloon busting) I keep bass ranging around 1lb to 2lb. It's good for most fisheries and I only do it probably 1 out of every 5 trips. Again, bass are a renewable resource and if you dont manage effectively you wont catch Large ones very long. Also I remember about 2 yrs ago I was fishing a pond in early spring, it was so windy it was miserable but we were catching fish off points throwing sqaurebills. Well I hook into a grown un, get her landed and realize she completely gilled that crankbait. So I felt bad about putting her back to die, so only thing reasonable was to fry her. She weighed just over 9, not my pb so no need for a trophy. But fried fish and fried roe fed a bunch of folks. Throwing her back to die would've fed other fish/birds down throughout ecosystem. So just be smart about it.
  14. Straight shank. I gave up EWG
  15. 1/2 oz. Pegged tungsten, Junebug Ultravibe. Bass in Profile pic. After that bass I quit using ultarvibes, couldn't tell ya why?
  16. Side note:As soon as I buy a new pack of flukes, I put my flukes in a plastic tray, yes the lid warps. The ones that are bent I spend about 10mins altogether, boiling the water dipping the tails. After that all of them work great. Even save tore up baits for chatterbait trailers. Zoom flukes have caught me some kinda bass
  17. Yall making me hungry!!
  18. This should be a poll... zoom for the win!
  19. @jbsoonerfan- nope they sure ain't. That ole zoom flat catches em for me. STAPLE!
  20. Is this a question or a statement? ?
  21. @Log Catcher- I treasure accuracy over distance ?
  22. The only perfect pond you can have is if you are the only one that can fish and manage it. If its public, we just do the best we can with what we got. Nature of the beast.
  23. Only one rod? Easy gimmie a 6'6 all day
