  1. What would you guys say it's worth?
  2. Thanks. There is a picture of the motor. I dont know what it has. He called it a power pack. All I know is that it isn't locked down, under the "hood" looks new except some dry rotted wiring.
  3. I have a chance to buy this motor for cheap. I know the guy real good. He said that the motor ran good when he put it in storage. Now the wiring on the power pack and a few others are dry rotted and it won't start. What would it take to replace all this?
  4. Very sad. I know the water is open to us kayakers going wherever we want just like anyone else but I tend to hug the shore. Even then I have had some real close calls. Be safe out there guys. Prayers to this mans family.
  5. Running my new unit in demo mode. Looking to get opinions on what you guys see here.
  6. Just ordered a shimano chronarch mgl and a shimano expride medium heavy, fast action rod. I've got a few things in mind but would like to hear how others would put this setup to work?
  7. I'm 6'1 and over 200 pounds. I stand in my ss127 kayak very comfortably. Even on pretty rough waters
  8. I love my kayak. I have buddies with boats (nice ones) and really enjoy fishing with them....but I much prefer going out in my bonafide ss127 kayak. Especially when my wife is with me in hers. I like the way that it forces you to slow down and really take it all in. Plus I know of a few places that most boats cant get to that holds some big ones. The main thing for me though is just enjoying time on the water. When me and the wife get out enjoying life in our kayaks its like nothing else exists.
  9. I could probably get this boat for less than 500$. I figured it would be worth that, its aluminum. I dont know anything about boats though. I see little aluminum jon boats selling for 3 and 400$ all the time
  10. Looking at getting this boat from a guy I used to work with. Trailer needs new tires, inside of the boat needs completely redone, motor is an 88 Johnson that ran when it was parked. I want to make an electric rig out of it for some small electric only lakes around here. I'm not sure about the exact size of the boat.
  11. Looking to hook up this unit to power just so I can play with it and get used to some of the controls before I take it out on the water in a couple weeks.
  12. I'll be sure to watch out for that, and the dry pod that it attaches to is hinged so it can be flipped up and out of the water when I get to shallow...but wont it just break off and still be attached to the wiring and to the kayak if it does get knocked off?
  13. Good deal. I found a video online of a guy installing a side imaging unit on the same kayak I have. I m going to need to rig up some sort of spacer for the bracket that came with the unit.
