  1. Lake Fork Taxidermy. $425 to replicate $45 driftwood $50 shipping
  2. I'm pretty late but here is how it turned out if anybody is still interested. https://photos.app.goo.gl/nP75ZgXC3U8vyfzw6
  3. I decided to go with LakeForkTaxidermy. http://www.lakeforktaxidermy.net/ I'll post pictures when I get it if anyone's interested.
  4. Yes, all we had was an old spring scale that we later found out was wildly inaccurate. She read 10 1/2 lbs that night and none of us believed it. I did some testing the next day and 12 1/2 lbs on that scale reads 9 1/2. So it's off by 3 lbs @ 12 1/2 lbs. So we figured she was at least 13 1/2. I would have loved to get her on a good digital scale, but it was late and we were trying to get her back into the water. I'm located in Newnan, which is about 30 minutes south of Atlanta down 85.
  5. Thanks for the replies, I did try bass pro - not much luck there. I will reach out to Dave, thanks for the recommendation and link. Yes we released her after taking a bunch of pictures. She was full of roe and figured it would be good for her to spread those genes around. Not going to say releasing her was easy, but it felt like the right thing to do. She was 25" length and 21" girth. I caught her on the last cast of the day (I said out loud "last cast") after fishing all day catching nothing but 12" dinks. She almost flipped me out of my kayak the first time she dove; It could have quickly turned into one of the worst fishing experiences if that would have happened lol.
  6. I've recently caught my PB (around 14 lbs) and am having trouble finding a good replica made. So far I've been unable to find any replicas that look like her. She was full of roe and had a very large girth for her length. Just looking for resources on good taxidermists, preferably in the area around south Atlanta, GA - but i've accepted the fact that i'm probably going to have to pay shipping from somewhere to get what I want. Any information or links would be helpful. Thanks
