  1. It should work just fine, personally id use it as a frog and flipping/pitching rod.
  2. Hey guys, I'm looking at getting the Okuma tcs 7'0mh for crankbaits, and I have no clue what the action is. Is it a moderate or fast action? And if you have experience with these rods which one would you recommend for 3/8 oz squsrebills, lipless cranks, and jerkbaits? Also, are moderate action rods suited for chatterbaits and swimjigs? Thanks in advance for the help guys!
  3. It'll be impossible for me to handle one first because no shops near me have them.
  4. I'm also in search for a new cranking rod. I was looking at the Okuma tcs rods, any body have any experience with them?
  5. A dobyns Fury 733 would work nicely for those techniques. I can throw a 3/16 oz swimbait on mine pretty easily. Daiwa Tatula is gonna be one if the best reels for the money. Also you can save a ton of money if you purchase on eBay. I got my Ct type r $100 off brand new.
  6. I also prefer frogs on a 7'3 rod but for flipping I used to use a 7'6 (until my rod broke).
  7. Personally I like a longer rod but it depends on your size. I'm 5'9 and use a 7'6 with ease.
  8. I got 4. 7'3 h frog rod 7'3 mh jig rod 7' crankbait rod 6'6 spinning rod for lighter techniques.
  9. The daiwa Tatula ct is an awesome reel! You will be very happy with it. If you buy it from eBay you can get it $80 new. I recommend a dobyns fury 703 to pair with it.
  10. In my experience Abu customer service was amazing. I broke my rod 2 inches from the top and it was 100% my fault. They sent me a new rod for $10 no questions asked.
  11. Terribly sorry @Mods, I just noticed I posted in wrong section.
  12. So these rods just vanished from the website and there are none in stores either. It appears the Tournament zx rods are also going away since they have such a limited selection online. Does anyone know if they will come back or when they will be replaced?
  13. I saw it there yesterday, looks like they took it down
  14. I believe amazon has one for $52 in a lefty.
  15. Agreed, I love Shimano and I love daiwa. But if I could only use one for the rest of my life I'd say Daiwa without thinking twice.
  16. Karla bait and tackle is having an awesome 75% off sale if you can solve the scavenger hunt!
  17. I garunteed you will he happiest with the Daiwa Fuego ct. It is arguably the best baitcaster under $100 seeing as it can be had for <$60!! I got mine off eBay for $47 with a 20% off code.
  18. I'd definetly hope so being twice the price!
  19. It definetly shows! That fish is my "official" pb at 4.7 lb 21 inches. I've been bass fishing for most my life but I've only gotten serious about it in the last 2 years. BR has definetly been a giant help to me.
  20. Spot on!
  21. Guess how much this girl weighed.
  22. I love mine! It doesn't cast as far as my daiwas but it's much simpler and easier to use. I give it to my friends to use because I don't have to worry about any issues.
  23. Whenever I pull in a 4 pounder I still think, "ITS A 7 POUNDER!!!!!"
  24. I'm thinking of getting an Okuma tcs for my Slx, have you fished with this combo? Does it balance Well? Would you recommend this combo?
