  1. If you had to start over from the beginning and had $300 to get a new rod and reel what would it be? Personally I'd get an AlX Zolo and a daiwa Tatula ct type r.
  2. May I ask what rods you currently have in your lineup?
  3. Neither. Dobyns fury beats both by a lot.
  4. You'll be better off getting the Dobyns Fury 734. It is of the best $100 rods on the market!
  5. I think you'd be happier with the Tatula. You can get it for sub $100 on Ebay with one of their coupon codes.
  6. Did not buy a single thing!!! Take that bait monkey!
  7. I prefer the Slx over the Casitas. And a Daiwa Fuego over both.
  8. No I'm not boycotting them. I just don't think I'll be buying their house brand stuff anymore.
  9. I think you'd he happier sticking with your shimanos.
  10. Hey guys, I was just at Cabelas to return a bag that had a broken zipper, and the guy at customer support informed that their life time guarantee was withdrawn by Bass Pro Shops. This means I will not be buying anymore of their store brand stuff. Just wanted to let you guys know so nobody gets an unpleasant surprise when trying to return items!
  11. You will probably be happiest with a Dobyns.
  12. Whatever is currently on my reel.
  13. The tatula ct-r is my fav reel. Given the choice between the tatula and a Curado K (which I have and use) I'd take the tatula any day. Not to mention you can get the tatula for less than $100 of you're lucky on Ebay!
  14. What models do you have? And what reels are they paired with?
  15. If you want a rod and reel under $250 you'll probably be best off with getting a Daiwa Fuego off Ebay or Amazon for <$60 and getting a dobyns champion xp 734 from American legacy fishing. They have a 20% off sale on all dobyns rods and you can get an additional 10% off if you sign up for their newsletter.
  16. 4.8, 4.6, 3.75, 3.3, 3. Lmb I only fish from ponds since I don't have a boat or any lakes very close to me.
  17. I think this is a great choice!
  18. I highly recommend the Daiwa Tatula Ct type-r its $180 but you can find it for around $100 on Ebay.
  19. I honestly can't remember, I was a bit in shock after watching her inhale my jig
  20. I caught a 22 inch bass last summer and it weighed 3 pounds on the dot. It didn't seem right to me but that's what the scale said so I didn't question it, that was my longest bass yet. My biggest Bass was 20.5 inches and weighed 4.75 pounds. Now that I caught a bass almost 2 inches shorter and 40% heavier Its driving me crazy as to whether or not the 22 inch fish actually weighed 3 pound or not.
  21. Many would would argue the same for the Tatula.
  22. I have the Daiwa CT type-r and it's an awesome reel! I'd take it any day over my Curado K!. The daiwa fuego is an amazing reel for the money, I have one as my froggin reel and it works beautifully. Not quite as nice as my Tatula but for the money it is without a doubt the best sub $100 reel.
  23. ALF has dobyns rods 20% off without a code and you can get an additional 10% off if you sign up for their newsletter.
  24. You can get the Tcs for less than $100 at Amazon and Wal-Mart. I think you can get the zodias 20% off at Tackle warehouse too.
