  1. Sweet lures, those are some of the ones I throw on a regular basis.
  2. Anything shiny. They like flash, vibration, wild colors. I've done that before. You won't loose a fish on those ropes.
  3. Don't start fishing in the winter, that's when you will quit fishing. Gain your confidence in the spring and fall. I started liking fishing a lot around the winter.. I got tired of not catching fish and almost quit. Now I'm a little more educated about year round fishing and more confident. So I'm gonna say gain some confidence and that takes patience.
  4. Sweet ride man, I actually had one very similar to that one before I bought my fiberglass boat. It ran great and still going. I sold it to a friend of mine and he takes care of it and he still able to fish tournaments with it, no issues. Good trolling motor from what I can see and it's a good starter fish finder. That's the same one I had before I bough a few helix's. Good luck on your boat. Hope you get what you want.
  5. For me on tournaments, I take fifteen on the deck rigged and ready and 5 in the rod locker for just in case. So no more than 7 for me on a trip to a lake fun fishing.
  6. There's plenty others out there. If there wasn't they wouldn't have it where you could keep them.
  7. Rattle trap of course. Swim bait, and my favorite, 12inch ribbon tail.
  8. Hook 5's are the way to go on a kayak.
  9. 30 pound braid for me. If water is clear and the fish is spooky, I'll risk it and go to about 20 to 25 pound Fc. Good luck
  10. I have a 36v trolling motor on it already. I planned on selling it if I was to get spot lock. I don't fish shallow any more than I do deep water. So I'll just buy the talons first and then maybe buy a new trolling motor.
  11. Here's a simple color chart that I go by when I'm fishing different water clarity and this is what helps me catch fish, my opinion guys: Stained: black and blue, junebug, white, chartreuse. Depending on if it's a shad lake or what. Clear: Watermelon seed, watermelon red, green pumpkin, bluegill colors, really anything natural. nothing wild. The baits I would use in those conditions would be: Stained: Rattletrap, spinnerbait, chatterbait, squarebill, Texas rig, Carolina rig, wacky rig. Clear: Jerkbait, spinnerbait, chatterbait, squarebill, Texas rig, Carolina rig, wacky rig, ned rig, dropshot.
  12. Wassup welcome to the pack. Nice boat, ranger makes quality boats.
  13. I like the Trokar 0/4 flipping hook with a tungsten.
  14. Great work man, I wanted to airbrush my own but it seems like to hard of a job for me, lol. Maybe you will catch some lunkers on those
  15. Heck I don't care how cold it is, I throw top water and get bit but you gotta know how to work it. Sometimes 5 minute casts. #froglivesmatter
  16. Nice fish!! I hate it when they jump. Just the thought of them spitting the hooks... It stinks when you don't have a net. We were fishing at a small lake about a week ago, and we were catching those big pre spawners. They wouldn't bite until dark but when they did.. it was a fight. I lost two a little bit smaller than that right at the boat. My friend broke the line at the boat trying to flip a 7+ fish on the deck Thanks for sharing
  17. Is the spot lock on Minn kota trolling motors better than a power pole? I want to know what you guys think before I go and buy power poles or if I buy a new trolling motor.
  18. So the shad are like nice little chicken nuggets swimming around just ready to get eaten...
  19. I do know there's a good place to stay there, if your a member of bass master. You pay a certain price and you get a place to lodge,a boat, fishing rods, tackle and a guide. It's for bass master only. I'll have to look more into it if your interested.
  20. Tungsten jigs are way more sensitive and more compact. You get hung up less on tungsten. Great for punching.. When you try tungsten you'll never want led.
  21. What he said that they sad^^^
  22. Got two helix 12s. They work great.
