  2. Good deal on some little boxes. I use these for Ned Heads, and Shakey heads. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DRMKSO?tag=dealsofamerica0b-20&ascsubtag=06RSBH8fejI5FjpSO7HE4Z1
  3. 4. Picked this up for when I am deep in the water and need to take a photo of a good catch. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08GHKMR82/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?tag=slicinc-20&ascsubtag=917aad04a4d111eda421f614d5ddb5b20INT&th=1
  5. They were $1.65 per pair. I got 4 pairs for about $7
  6. This will not last long. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BF4TVTLC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  7. Got mine today also. The spool comes with a plastic case like some JDM lines. I got some 12lb and tested the breaking strength like I always do with a new line. Breaks were in the line, not at the knot at between 11-12lbs. Thats good for me. I will use it. Doesn't seem too stretchy so it may be good for me. I don't like rubber band fluoro. I have ready that it may not be great with abrasion resistance, but I don't fish lakes with a lot of rock.
  8. KastKing has 200-Yards KastKing Kovert Fluorocarbon Fishing Line on sale for $1 when you apply discount code CM1 during checkout. Shipping is free.
  9. I am looking for an electric steering unit for my new boat build. Either the Panther or the Python unit would work. Hoping someone has a used one or knows where I can get one. Due to Covid, I cannot seem to find one in stock. I anyone has any thoughts or a unit they can sell, shoot me a PM.
  10. North Forks Composits often deeply discounts their blanks several times per year. Most recently they were $125 for X-Ray and 60-75% off the HM, IM and others. You might sign up for their email notifications to know when the sales happen. Also, try the delta blanks for moving bait builds. I got a few for under $40 and they are really good, for me. Delta CB-7106 is great for deep cranks, heavy chatterbaits and med spoons.
  11. I got a pair of super light-weight, breathable sun pants from amazon. 95% polyester, 5% spandex. Cross between light gym pants and PJ bottoms. Got them in gray to reflect the sun. Wet myself down when hot. Not the Columbia ones, they are too hot.
  12. I have used the eco-pro tungsten wacky weight. It gives a good way to hook the worm and also provides a little weight under the worm for less salted baits, like zman and some finesse worms. https://ecoprotungsten.com/collections/terminal-tackle/products/eco-pro-tungsten-wacky-weights I have used paper clip wire to fashion the same shape and weight with lead wire to save a few bucks with the same results.
  13. UPDATE: I may have been too harsh. Finatic responded to my email and said they will send out the items from my order. They agreed that they made a mistake. Once I get them in hand, I will delete my "beware" comments.
  14. I ordered some fluoro and braid from Finatic. I just go the package and it had only one item in it that I did not order. I tried to call the number on their facebook page and it it not a working number. Beware. I will try to work this out with them, but as of right now, they are either a scam or very poor at customer service.
  15. I use a Elco 20 which is a large electric outboard for electric only reservoirs. Top speed is about 10 mph. High speed safety is not an issue with a stick steer in this application. My boat has all my graphs, 3 x Solix 15, mounted up front since I do not have a console. I am putting a remote electric steer to eliminate the stick steering box and also let me move back when making long runs for maximum efficiency. Battery powered boats are all about weight and efficiency.
  16. I have a stick steer up front on my electric only boat. This year I an converting over to a Panther Electronic remote steering system. I want to be able to move my weight around in the boat for better balance. I know a guy who uses one and he loves it. Check them out. https://panthermarineproducts.com/electro-steer-and-steering/
  17. Are you going to install the Turret on an Ultrex with a 360? Also, curious about why you chose the Turret.
  18. I am planning an upgrade to add a remote controlled livescope pole mount on my Utrex along with a Mega 360. There are several options including the Rite Hite Turret, Cornfield crappy LiveSweep, the LiveScanner, the Turnscope, and the Blitz Livefoot. I need some help from somebody who has had success installing this configuration of pole on an Ultrex with a 360 installed. If anybody can share a picture or first hand experience with a product that will do the job it would be helpful. Seems like there is a lack of documented installations of this type. The other issue to consider is reliability and customer support if problems occur down the road.
  19. They just had them for that price for Black Friday. They also had most all their blanks for 60% off. They run these sales every couple of months. If you register for the newsletter, you will receive notifications. Also, try their Delta blanks for moving baits. I built a Delta CB-7106 and it is an amazing deep crank and spoon blank for $35 on sale. Finished rod weighs under 5 oz with 1/2-2oz rating.
  20. Is the K2 736 as severely underrated as you describe. ⅜ vs up to 2oz. Also, any experience with the K2 765 and whether its ratings are also too high?
  21. I have heard that the K2 are generally under rated. You mention "5/16-3/8 is the sweet spot" but the rod is rated as 7'3" | 10-30 lb. | 1/2 - 2 oz. | Fast Action | 1 Piece | 5.5 Tip | 0.538 Butt. That seems to be a dramatic underrating of this blank. The reason I ask, not trying to be a jerk or anything, is because I just ordered a K2 765 that is rated as 7'6" 1 8-20 lb. 3/8 - 1 oz. and I was thinking of using it for ½ jigs. The reason I went that direction is based on the ratings from Rodhouse Power casting (manufacturer data) : 3/8-1oz Power casting (our opinion) : 15-50grs (~½-1 1/2+OZ) Any thought or comments about this subject?
  22. I talked with TW earlier in the week about exclusions. They said that they could not be specific other than definitely Humminbird and MinnKota were excluded. I asked whether I could order whatever I wanted then wait until I got the invoice to see if everything was discounted or not. He said that was possible and to call as soon as you get the invoice and cancel any items before they are shipped. This method will take the guesswork out of the discounts. You get what you can and cancel what you don't want.
  23. I had 3 BW MB732, 733 and 735. I really wanted to like them. The Carbon grips were too slippery. I sent them back and got a full refund. I bought Xray blanks from NFC, which are better than the HM used on the BW, and built my own rods with grips, seats and guides that are higher in quality and feel perfect for me. Also the rods I build are much lighter and cost less than $200 (Xray blanks are $75+$10 on sale). I am going to sell my all my NRX, Conquest, Expride and Xtasy rods as I replace them with NFC based rods I build.
  24. I have had great customer service from NFC. Ashlee -Blank Order Manager, Ashlynn Director of Operations, and Steve their rod expert. Ashlee can tell you what is in stock and Ashlynn can help with order/billing issues. Steve can tell you about the blank performances and applications. Sometimes you need to be patient, its not a huge operation and they will do their best to be honest, fair and responsive. Side note, don't underestimate their Delta blanks, they are really nice and a real value.
  25. Platt is having a Christmas Sale. Things are selling out. https://www.plat.co.jp/shop/catalog/default/language/en/cPath/5969/2020_xmas_sale.html
