  1. Ya I do pull the same time as I ratchet seems one side the ratchet mech only catches half the time. I have reapplied waterproofed and UV protectant to the cover. Oh I forgot about my fenders they really look like @$$ I have to drive gravel to get to a lot of my fishing spots and they are pitted pretty bad.
  2. Amen to the tough fishing conditions. Starting to notice a few minor things with my boat. The seats rubbed through the carpet in the back wall.I made some rubber pads to prevent further damage they actually look pretty good. The carpet is not very traffic resistant it already looks pretty matted down despite the couple vacumings I have already given the boat. The transom is wearing the carpet on the bunks as well, dunno what to do about that. The pump for the live well does not want to work all the time, it acts like it gets a air trapped in the line and will not move water. The back seam on my cover has come undone in a small area next to the out board, the ratchet straps for the cover are already slipping and I'm having issues sometimes tightening them. I know it sounds like a lot of complaining but all in all I live my boat and have no regrets.
  3. Bass have not been biting here water temp has been really high. Been experimenting with trolling though
  4. I noticed small bubbles in my carpet on the side wall .when I received my boat but when you whipped your hand across the would disappear aka stick back down, so I didn't think much of it. Now the carpet on the floor next to the rod holder opening has come up.was thinking of just using some carpet adhesive I have laying around to repair myself. I have not had any issues with my outboard but I fish small water and will not run wide open most are no wake.
  5. The motor is only connected to the cranking battery. I'm not filmimliar with a battery combiner but you would have to run the motor quite a bit to recharge the battery. The lakes I fish are are small enough or restricted so I will not be running high enough RPM to add charge back into the system. I use a bass pro 2 bank charger so far it has worked great.
  6. My first thought was I had the airator to tight but it did not matter. Witch position it was in. I had also thought of backing back off the trailer but I was hot and ready to get out if the sun. Funny the guy who helped me at my bass pro said the tank would fill automaticly, needless to say he was not the most knowledgeable on the bass tracker.
  7. So I was fishing this weekend and I had a couple fish in the live well. I wanted to drain and refill the live well so the fish would have fresh cool water for the journey home. After loading the boat on the trailer, the transom is still in the water mind you. I drained about half the water from the live well then turned on the pump and nothing.the pump is not powerful enough to lift water at angles apparently it needs to be relatively flat. so I had to fill the live well with my smaller cooler I had on board for worms.
  8. I got the email with the link from tracker you have to fill out a registration they send you.it asks for hull numbers it may look like spam but it is not. You may be able to go to the tracker website to find a link. Got my card the same week I got my boat.
  9. Bolar, if the issue with your bildge is the hose length you could get a longer connector probably at any Hardware store or get a double ended connector and add a little bit of hose to take the strain off the pump. I had my boat in the garage yesterday to add my boats name. it's bad luck not to have a name on your boat ya know. I was looking at the linkage for the throttle and gearbox and the relationship between them, to see if it is possible to shorten the throttle linkage to engage sooner.it does not look advisable to me since one lever controls both .you want to be sure you are fully engaged in Gear before appling throttle. The throw for the gear box is to long to change the throttle engagement. The only way would be as stated before would be to add a hot foot. While I was adjusting steering tension and trim tab I noticed the plastic cap on the other end of the steering rod was loose. It had backed off quite a way I tightened it by hand.
  10. Has anyone looked at adjusting the throttle travel, seems to me you have to move it a long way till it starts to move forward and reverse.
  11. I have the same issue here in nebraska any if the good fishing lakes you have to take gravel witch I hate pulling my new boat down gravel roads. I did the first couple times with out the cover it's was a short road but it still got very dusty. Spent the weekend vacuuming out the carpet & cleaning the plastic. I will now tow with the cover on.i thought about hisingbthe carpet but the shop vac worked pretty well.
  12. The pull straps on the batteries are difficult to say the least to get tight but they also work there way lose. The ones I think you guys are talking about have more of a cam locking action like what comes on the boat for your transom straps, those are much better. Any tips for cleaning the hull have only been out a hand full if times and I already have a nice water line on the side if my hull. The discoloration was there after the first run. I know jaime had a video about cleaning and care but I'm unsure if cleaning and protecting the hull was covered. I have been looking at shark hide protectant but I'm not sure about the cleaner. Seems like 303 protectant is like Frank's Red Hot.
  13. Since the boat does not come with an hour meter, I ordered this one from Amazon. This will make it much easier or even possible to track the number of hours on the motor. For those of you that may not know this is an inductive hour meter it keeps track of running hours by the firing of the spark plug. I just have to remember to add around 2.5 hours for the first run in that the meter was not on the motor.
  14. Your charger should have a specific leg for the cranking battery. This should be connected to that battery only. The other two legs can be hooked to your deep cycle batteries. If you only have one leg for deep cycle you will not get a full charge on both batteries. The motor will work the same as a car it will not put out a charge unless you run above a specific RPM.
  15. That's good to hear I have read and seen mixed reviews about mercury service.
