  1. One thing I'd NEVER do is dump it overboard. It might be a small thing in some people's minds, but I don't pee (or other) where I fish.
  2. Either that or the Jointed Shallow Shad Rap. I use that one in shallow, log-ridden areas myself without major issues.
  3. Doesn't matter - he's a billionaire. He'll get a slap on the wrist and told 'Don't do that again.'
  4. KVD and the other males probably sit behind the console and use a jug if it's absolutely necessary. The women - same thing but with what's called a 'portable female urinal'. It presses up against...the area...and then they pee like a guy.
  5. This times infinity. A heavier spool that keeps spinning after the lure hits the water is a BAD thing.
  6. Light to moderate cover I shoot with my Trion loaded with 12# FC Heavier cover it's the President with 20# Braid...no leader
  7. I treat my rods as the rating is total weight. So for a T-Rig on a rod rated 5/8, I'd use a 1/2oz bullet weight max. The worm may push it a little over 5/8, but as long as you don't go overboard it's fine.
  8. I'd do the same with my Fuego, except it's too difficult to traipse through the nearly 2' of snow in my backyard. And it's official. February this year is the snowiest February on record - 30+" so far with more coming.
  9. Everyone has different experiences. Myself - I'm more comfortable with a Fast action rod, no matter the power.
  10. Single or twin-tail grubs have been my go-tos for trailers.
  11. I run straight 8# Mono on my finesse rig - drop-shot, Ned, weightless worms/critters, etc.
  12. Only 12 states ban switchblades...Minnesota is one of those.
  13. I'd go with the 7.3:1. It's easier to slow your cranking - less fatigue too - than to speed it up.
  14. The 30 would be a good, all-around reel. The 25 has a smaller spool and only holds 90 yds of 6# mono where-as the 30 holds 145yds of 6# or 130yds of 8#.
  15. Out of money this year.
  16. This gives me reassurance that auto-inflate vests are safe. Next Christmas I may use some of my present-money to purchase one.
  17. Finally - the answer to a question I posted earlier. I was wondering how deep you had to go for the auto-release to activate. Wouldn't help much if it took 4 feet of water pressure to do it - if you're knocked unconscious, you could take in a lungful or two of water before it got you back to the surface.
  18. Don't they have a pill for that yet?
  19. And of course they had to toss more snow into the mix - between tonight and tomorrow another 5"-11" of the 'White Death' inundating us.
  20. I forget where I got the info, but my Endura C2-30 pulls at indicated speeds - Speed 1 - 8 amps Speed 2 - 10 amps Speed 3 - 14 amps Speed 4 - 20 amps Speed 5 - 30 amps A little searching for your model will get the info you need.
  21. Sorry @J Francho, given the truly subjective nature of Polygraph tests and this quote from the link I provided before - "For now, although the idea of a lie detector may be comforting, the most practical advice is to remain skeptical about any conclusion wrung from a polygraph." - any rules that state a Polygraph may be given is reason enough for me to not enter.
  22. It's not that I wouldn't like to fish a tournament, but with the various rules they enforce it's not worth the headaches. Boat tournaments here basically preclude my canoe as they have a massive advantage of reaching the fishing spots from the launch points. The Kayak tournaments here - even thought the Kayak group accepts Canoe owners as members, requires their tournament fishing to be from a Kayak...period. So, no tournaments for me - which is a bummer.
  23. Go get the Lock-Tite - blue for a screw of this size.
  24. That's the problem right there...mine were fulfilled NOT by Amazon, but by the vendor.
  25. Our 2 week forecast Slowly warming this week, nudging above freezing (34) with some snow on Saturday...then dropping back to the teens and single digits for highs after that. Winter is never going to end
