  1. It doesn't help that the temps don't know what they want to do.
  2. Looks at update - looks at 10"+ of ice on local lakes - starts crying.
  3. Those are designed to mount to the stabilizers on a standard motor. With the vectored-thrust jet-drive of a Sea Doo, you don't have that available. It'd have to be a 'hull-mount' for it to fit.
  4. I have to agree with this. Got my canoe last year, 6-1/2' bed for 14' canoe. Used an bed extender and it helped...but carting all my gear in and out of the canoe to load/unload was a pain. That's why I got the trailer this year. Keep all my gear in it as I store it in the garage. No loading/unloading of rods/tackle needed...haul it out of the garage, hook it to my truck and go.
  5. Trailer option is this one - this is what I got for my canoe...though I'm getting a replacement for the tongue piece to make it longer. Little over $500 - very reasonable. https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200612542_200612542
  6. Disable the login so it's always on and 'up'? I can do that with my Galaxy, if I-Phones can't do that...then I'm glad I got the Galaxy.
  7. Given what I spent this winter on rigs, baits and canoe mods plus the trailer, I better get some fish otherwise my cost/bass is going to be enormous. Far as urge to buy things - my wish lists at various places just keep growing...
  8. Cabelas has a two-day sale going on Shimano Sedona on a Cabelas Fish Eagle - $49.97 (2500 on ML, 3000 on M or MH) Black Max BC on a Cabelas Pro Guide (M or MH) - $39.97 Couple low-priced rigs if you're looking for something to fill in a hole. Most of the rest is hunting stuff, but there's some more fishing gear in there.
  9. On small lures - #0 & #1 Mepps, Beetle Spins, etc - I've never caught a bass larger than 12". Ned Rigs and Drop Shots aside - for me, the smaller lures are panfish/trout only based on my experience.
  10. Up till a few years ago, you couldn't even target bass until the bass opener on Memorial Weekend. They added C&R starting when walleye/pike season opened due to demand. So for 2 weeks it's C&R only...THEN I can start adding eatin' size bass to the freezer.
  11. Clear topcoat - add another coat
  12. Doesn't matter how early ice-out is. Here we can't target bass (or lake-dwelling rainbows) until May 11. So from ice-out until then, I'm limited to panfish...by law. Accidental catches of the others (and walleye and pike) HAVE to be tossed back, even if they're eatin' size. Can't even keep the bass until May 25.
  13. Unless it's baby-bass, those are mainly panfish lures. I'd use my President 25 with 4# or Avocet rig with 8# for those (Ultra-light or Medium-light)
  14. That's why the Ziplocs - they haven't affected those at all.
  15. Soft plastics are de-bagged and put in snack-size Ziplocs with the cut-out label of what they are. Those bags are put into Plano 3606s - 1 to 2 bags per slot
  16. One thing I do know having Google E-Mail addresses - you get 15gb of space on G-Drive for free with a Google account. 100gb for $1.99/month, 2tb for $9.99/month. Only thing I use my G-Drive for is backup for my E-Reader program - allows me to sync reading position between my tablet and my phone.
  17. Let me guess "The Life of Rabbits" "The Ins and Outs of Squirrel Behavior" Things like that?
  18. Too bad you didn't have a camera running so you could watch the replay.
  19. There's a little band of water along the edges of the lake - at least Emerald and Cook's Bay. Melting should speed up at this point. Hoping for open water by mid-April.
  20. Which is exactly the setup I got for my pitching/flipping. Got my Fuego on Amazon for $74 - so definitely room for line and a few pitching jigs to go along with it.
  21. What is this 'palming the reel' you speak of? On finger in front of the trigger, other three fingers grasping the rod behind the trigger, thumb on the switch/spool. This is how I've always held a baitcaster...there's a reason they call it a 'handle'.
  22. The one I have - reel was a gift from a member here, rod was purchased. Pflueger President 25 - $59.95 at TW Diawa Spinmatic 6'6" Ultra-Light/Fast - $34.99 at FishUSA
  23. I don't use an online site - don't trust my stuff that way...also why I don't use Cloud Storage. Paint Shop Pro on my desktop.
  24. Been checked and dutifully take my meds. If you're swapping hands, you obviously have issues. Might want to have that checked.
  25. When I had access to good trout streams, I picked up a fly rod. Man was that a tough thing to learn. I eventually did, but after moving to a place where access to trout streams was difficult, I sold all my fly-fishing gear...including the fly tying equipment - ya, I was tying my own. Now it's been years and picking it up again would be like first learning it.
