  1. From the display, the only model they have in 3600 size is the plain one...no 'specialty' styles.
  2. Echoing @Choporoz, it's a matter of personal preference. Saying that...I'll use a #1 for anything 5" and under and a 2/0 for larger. Except if I use a Rage Claw (4")...then I'll use a 2/0 with that because of the 'bulk'.
  3. I just include them in the class 'sunnies'...it's just another variety of them like Pumpkinseed or Longear.
  4. Given the time of year, I'd have to agree with that.
  5. I've not had any problems with the 4# on my UL or the 10# on my Trion...which I use for lighter crank/smaller jerkbaits (3/8 oz or less cranks, 2 treble jerks) or lighter T-Rigs (1/4 oz or less weight). Also regularly treat it with KVD.
  6. Without knowing when the shot was taken, it's hard to tell.
  7. I put the spool in a Tupperware box on the floor to do this...then I don't have to chase the spool down.
  8. There's your problem right there. A UL rig doesn't have the 'oomph' to set the hook on that type of rig.
  9. Sounds more like the line wasn't kept taunt when spooling it up originally and you're having minor back-lashes and not fixing them before reeling in and re-casting. I'd un-spool all the line, then take it back up while keeping tension on the line to insure it's snug...not too tight though, it is a bit of a balancing act. BTW: Welcome to the forums.
  10. Doesn't make you any less weird though. (Yes, I talk to myself on the water too.)
  11. I don't care that mine is slightly uncomfortable and sometimes gets 'in the way'. When I'm on the water...I'm wearing it (see my profile pic).
  12. This cannot be stressed enough - whether it's a Yak, canoe or full boat. You never know what's going to happen on the water and a PFD is the only thing between you getting home or you drowning.
  13. During the season, they stay lashed down in my canoe...which is garaged. Once the season is over, the reels come off and they're hung on padded ceiling hooks in my 'man-cave' while the reels are stored in a foam-lined drawer.
  14. What back seat? I took out the one in my extended-cab...use it for interior cargo space.
  15. Wuss...I got two the beginning of the 90's...then never had the money to get the others I wanted.
  16. I worked for them for a while back in the mid 2000's. Good company, good people working there...it was a temp job. For anyone who saw the Tonight Show with Jay Leno...the one where he showed off the 3-D printer he used to make parts for his cars...that was a Stratasys printer.
  17. There's a whole thread on I-Cast 2019 already. Has posts about the new releases.
  18. Standard rigging is just to 'skin' the point of the hook. Put it in the worm as shallow as you can manage while still keeping it covered. When you set the hook, the point pops right out of the plastic to embed in the bass' mouth.
  19. Which is exactly the reason I went with a canoe this time. I've owned a boat in the past and it was more trouble than it was worth to me.
  20. Probably - I fiddle with it every time I change a lure, take a test cast, then adjust the brakes for max-distance/min-backlash chance. Don't forget that thumb either.
  21. My question is - are they going to have the 'specialty' boxes in 3600 size? That's the size I use.
  22. I'm just shuddering at what the price of those is going to be...my wallet is already screaming in agony.
  23. Looks as good as mine - this is the day I picked it up from the dealer just over 2 years ago.
  24. The only way I was able to afford the canoe, trailer and new gear was through Christmas presents. Every year my parents give me, my wife, my sister and her husband $1000 checks with the notation "For fun only". We're not allowed to use the money for bills or living expenses. 2-1/2 years of that is what enabled me to do a complete upgrade...otherwise I'd be bank fishing with 30+ year old equipment and lures.
  25. Ya, my '01 is the same way. When I got it in 2017 with 197k already on it, the previous owner had taken such good care of it that CarFax valued it at +$1000 over KBB. Of course I snatched it up - using the insurance money from my previous truck (the other driver was found at fault).
