  1. I did the same thing years ago - then in 2015, sold my entire collection, including Mike Grell's Warlord - complete series - M or NM condition X-Men - GS1 & #94 through X-Men-vs-Avengers - M or NM condition also had New X-Men and X-Force from start through that time. I'd always do one read - then bag and back every comic.
  2. Some Pfluegers use to come just jam-packed with grease...or totally dry - it was a crap-shoot. Either way, it'd need basic maintenance to get it correct. Four choices 1: Do without it for a couple weeks while it gets 'fixed' 2: Find someone local who can do it - most tackle shops have a repair area...one of our local ones will handle any of the 'top name' brands. 3: Just deal with it 4: Toss it and get a new one (last gasp)
  3. Depends - I fished Coffee Cove yesterday (still stuck on shore) and one gal was using a drop-shot...tossing it out and slowly dragging it back. She picked up 6 bass in the 14"-16" group in half-an-hour. I wouldn't call that 'watching paint dry'. BTW: I picked up 5 in that same class in an hour with a weedless Ned I was testing for Munkin...forgot my Ned plastics so was using a 2" Mr Crappie Joker in Tuxedo Black.
  4. Only poisonous snake we have in MN is the timber rattler - and they're restricted to the bluffs and woods in the SE corner...never had one up here. Did come across a copperhead one time hiking to a pond in NE when I was in the Air Force...but that was it.
  5. If I'm using them with Yama Senkos - I lose more worms than rings...the worm will part in half, but fairly often the ring is still dangling from the hook when I bring it back in...load it on the tool and use it again.
  6. I buy them off Amazon - $8.39 for 100 so $0.08 each For 3" and slender finesse worms For 4"-5" worms
  7. I'd say it's about a 50/50 split on the bass I've caught between finesse (Neds, Wacky, Shakey Head, etc) and power fishing (Spinners, Chatters, Jigs, etc) The bass in my avatar pic was caught on a spinnerbait, run along the edge of a lily-pad patch in about 2'-3' of water...she came barreling out from under the pads to slam it.
  8. Also check out the sale at American Legacy - St Croix has 2 piece 6'6" Premier rods in medium and medium-heavy at 40% off normal retail...regular price is $185, now just $111 - excellent rod. https://www.americanlegacyfishing.com/st-croix-premier-2-piece-casting-rods.html
  9. Another option is a 'Trout Magnet' kit - great for panfish as well. https://www.amazon.com/Trout-Magnet-Original-152-Piece-Kit/dp/B000ZKZD5M?ref_=ast_sto_dp
  10. ^ DH is our resident frog fan here in MN...does quite well at it too...one to listen to on that technique.
  11. Sounds like it to me - I use a 7'1" Mojo Bass M/F for those techniques and it's very good...I can only imagine the Avid being better.
  12. The 150's frame size is between the CT and 100. The Tatula CT is just a Fuego CT with the T-Wing system added.
  13. Ya - caught those in my youth when my Uncle would take the cousins and I to Merrill Pond.
  14. My old one got lost somewhere - keep meaning to make a new one. One with a BR logo would be great. Count me in on this.
  15. Hope it takes off for you, man. Got my fingers crossed for luck.
  16. ^^ Trout rod - small stream trout preferably, like brookies.
  17. Well, left and right hand should be self explanatory. The 100 (no letter) is the 6.3:1 ratio - 26 inches per turn of the handle retrieve rate - I use that speed for crankbaits The 100XH is the 8.1:1 ratio - 34 inches per turn of the handle retrieve rate - I use that speed for pitching or other techniques where I want a high-speed retrieve The 100H is the 7.1:1 ratio - 30 inches per turn of the handle retrieve rate - I use that speed for pretty much everything else.
  18. Since they're down to only the Monarch and President XT for casting reels now, I've had to move away from Pflueger for casting...I have 3 Patriarchs and 2 Supremes and they're great casting reels...too bad they decided to end those lines.
  19. Like I mentioned - that was after only a few dozen casts with a fresh leader in mostly clear water...some weeds and floating sticks, but that was it....call it 40 minutes or so of fishing time before it snapped. I've lasted all day with InvizX on the same rig in the same conditions. I'll pay the extra and all my BasiX is going into the 'use only in emergencies' bin.
  20. As a Pflueger fan-boy since the70s I'll say this - walk away from the Monarch.
  21. American Legacy has 40% off all in-stock St. Croix rods through the 31st.
  22. Most of it is just gonna get warm to the touch...I'd put your plastics at the bottom of the pile, or someplace that can get some shade through. Line (other than braid) should also stay out of the sun if you bring some for leaders or on-the-water re-spools.
  23. You're looking for a Plano 3607-10 - it also comes in a 3700 size. https://www.scheels.com/p/plano-open-compartment-stowaway-tackle-box/24099-370710.html
  24. How do you know when your back yard has had enough rain?
  25. That's the reason I use 1000 size spinners on my finesse rigs instead of 2500 like most others...reel weight for the same brand/model is usually 1oz lighter for the 1000 size.
