  1. I'm of the opinion, "If it's not braid, it gets KVD treated" - I even treated the Tatsu I'd gotten gifted with.
  2. Only integrated UPF shirt/gaiter/hood I've got is an off brand...so I'm not too trusting - wife got it off Amazon. My normal clothing is either a Columbia or HUK crew-neck, long-sleeve shirt (UPF 50), my boonie hat, khaki cargo pants, and SPF 50 sunscreen on the back of my hands. I've got gloves, but only occasionally wear them as even in mild temps (upper 50s/low 60s) they make my hands sweat something fierce.
  3. The OP hasn't even logged into BR in 4 years...
  4. Omnia's line sale snagged me - going lighter on my finesse rigs, thereby the 8# 832...also decided to give this Sniper stuff a try given the sale price.
  5. I actually moved up a few spots after my huge slide from 3rd to 32nd a few weeks ago.
  6. Hey - it lets you skip a mile. 🙃
  7. Wrong thread - this one is for bass only - you want this one for anything other than Bass
  8. Or was it the fact you snagged their van.
  9. ^ If you're using spinnerbaits - go with Colorado blades for the 'thump' as well.
  10. Move north, young man Ya, thunderstorms predicted all week, but Tuesday will be our warmest day at 86 with the rest of the week being in the mid 70s to low 80s. Current water temp of Minnetonka - 68
  11. ^ about 10'-12' is what I start with...retie a new leader when it gets down to 6'-7'
  12. You mean West-Central? I lived in northern MN for 6 years - Bemidji is east of Bagley, west of Lake Winnibegoshish on that map.
  13. Just took a look around - HookUp has it for $11.15 a spool...so 0.15 more, but the shipping charges are better.
  14. Why would you think that? The reel is basically just for holding the line and taking it up...the rod is what you cast the lure and fight the fish with. Rods should be better than the reels...long as the reels aren't bottom of the barrel. I've got used reels that I paid between $60 and $80 on $200 Victory rods...works great.
  15. First place(s) to ask would be Garmin support or Humminbird support.
  16. Yes - so long as you and your wife both have licenses - you can have 40 total between stringer and freezer.
  17. Well, my guys are out 18, 21, 25, 40 - With Austin bowing out yesterday in 84th place.
  18. Ya - it's been pretty bad this year too. I've had to stop a couple times each shore trip to pick that stuff off the mainline-leader connection knot on any rig I use. At least the filamentous algae the lures pick up comes off pretty easy...this stuff is a severe pain in the rumpus.
  19. Long as you buy it JDM - Seaguar's site and TW want $28 for 109yds of 6#. Same spool from Digitaka is $11.59
  20. I did run straight FC on a couple of my spinning rigs...for a while. Now I'm braid-to-leader on all my spinning rigs - even the panfish rigs. I wouldn't go back.
  21. Four of my guys made the cut - Nice to see 'The Llama' having a good tourney so far...lets keep it up. Also, 'Hack Attack' is doing good as well...
  22. You could put a split-shot in front of it or you could use a weighted swimbait hook to get it down further.
  23. If you're going to run up to 15' depth cranks - get the MH/M - deeper you go, the heavier power you want the rod.
