  1. While I'm right handed normally - my left arm is actually the stronger/steadier of the two. So I cast left and retrieve right...all my spinning reels get the handles swapped. Also, with the loss of my right eye, it's easier to hit the target lining up with the left arm/eye combination.
  2. Probably cause it's not a beer - you can't directly compare beer/lager to a stout....its' just not done. Saying that - Guiness, Murphy's and some stuff @Deephaven introduced me to called 'Nitro Milk Stout' are my brews of choice....can't stand 'American P**s Water' anymore.
  3. It's not just the price - that bugger weighs 22lbs according to the site.
  4. This is what I've got. It's pretty inexpensive, but locks the hitch to the receiver and the coupler lever with same-key
  5. Spinning version of the casting rod I use Victory 6'8" M/XF
  6. You guys got nothing on MN - they pinch you until you're 90. 😠
  7. Just change how the 'holes' are opened to the edge and it'd easily work as a ceiling mount.
  8. Or you could just build one...its' not difficult. Mine took me 3 days, and most of that was letting the stain and poly top coat dry. 6' top to bottom, 24 slots.
  9. Considering I'm bound to the shore this year, I'm thrilled when I catch 13-inchers.

I never go on the water without my Bob Smith gap filling CA Some places order it in bulk and put their own home label on it. BSI CA is the best out there no matter what 'flavor' of it you get.
  11. 40-45yds is a long cast for me - most of mine are around 30-35yds. That's the main reason I only put 65-70yds of (expensive) mainline on my reels...long cast plus enough extra for reties to last a season...break-offs of course are another matter.
  12. ^ Ya, @Catt lives where heavy cover gets real and what I get up here is 'open water' to him.
  13. I'd love to see this get going this year - I kinda miss seeing all your ugly mugs.
  14. Ya - that's not heavy cover - I'd call that moderate. This is closer to heavy, but I've seen it even more full at times.
  15. I'll confirm that - I'm still trying to learn Side-Scan....I don't even want to think about what my learning curve would be for FFS.
  16. Depends on how you rig it - mine was stable enough to stand in for pitching...but I'd mounted outriggers on it.
  17. If he'd retire from You-Tube - I'd raise a drink. I don't care about his tournament status.
  18. I think this is the second time I've seen him (or the second one I've seen) in 38 years of living in this house.
  19. It's gotta be a fluke...you're just not a cranking kind of guy, man Nice catches there, and good luck on Friday.
  20. Out the back door for a cig (I don't smoke in the house) and I noticed that our albino squirrel was back
  21. Well, the only main difference between them is usually JDM reels have aluminum alloy main gears and the USDM reels have brass main gears. JDM reels are lighter for this fact. Otherwise they follow the exact same assembly including virtually all the other parts. Personally - I've been getting more reels JDM through Digitaka. Comparing the internals of a JDM Tatula 100 with a USDM Tatula 100 when I did cleaning...I really can't find a notable difference.
  22. Are you talking made for the US market vs made for the Asian market? Neither manufacturer has facilities here in the states to make reels - they're all made in Malaysia, S. Korea or Japan itself. There is a difference between reels of the same model depending on the market they're designated for...but that holds true for both makers.
  23. Power Hog - mine tops out at 30.
  24. You're staring in a Sci-Fi movie and you have to rent your own (ugly) futuristic vehicle? Wow.... (I'm not joking, I've seen these...things...on the road around here - hate is too mild a term for my thoughts of the aesthetics.)
