  1. They use them in surgeries now too as they're much sharper than medical steel, causing less damage to tissue which speeds up healing.
  2. My St. Croix lineup is 1/2 Victory (used or on deep discount) and 1/2 Mojo Bass (pre-Trigon)
  3. She's the gal formerly known as Ol' Crickety....IE Katie.
  4. ^ What teeth? (mine are in terrible shape...and no money or insurance to get them fixed)
  5. How about the Panfish 7'3" MLXF? It has the SCII and SCVI blend for resin. I have one, and it's actually a very good rod...and more budget friendly than the Victory.
  6. If you're looking for some round-handle Mojos - St Croix Factory Store still has a number of lengths/powers/actions in stock for $125. Sorry - the 7' MHMF isn't one they have....
  7. I dunno, but can I get my entry in?
  8. Some ideas, like that wonky Trigon handle, should have ended up in the circular file. I've checked them out at my local Fleet Farm (ya, they carry them) and I hated how it felt. They should have kept the original Mojo line and created a new line with these....things.
  9. Reels: Daiwa Tatula 100 6.3:1 Shimano SLX-XT 6.3:1 Rods Any M/M or MH/M from St Croix, Dobyns, Phenix, Daiwa, Shimano
  10. This is why they make hi-capacity cards...and don't take what the box says as max card size as gospel...my 3 say '32gb max card size'...my 256gb cards work just fine, and I even tested the 512gb card that's normally in my tablet....the camera's worked with that as well.
  11. I'm sad too - I lived 6 years in Bemidji, so LotW was a frequent destination as well as Red Lake, Winni, Leech and others. Now I'm 'stuck' fishing the west metro of Minneapolis...fishing is good, but it's not northern MN good.
  12. This is exactly what Bridgette did when she guided me last year. I knew knots, lures, etc...she basically found the spots where the bass were, taught me a bit about yearly movements in our lake, and suggested lure types and presentations. Both of us fished...and chatted...and I caught more fish that day than any other day I've been out.
  13. Katie - I'd love doing that as I miss tent camping...but I have a disabled wife to take care of and can only go fishing in lakes close to home.
  14. I can only dream of fishing a place like that, Katie...but I can live vicariously through your pics - keep them coming.
  15. I've always followed Al Lindner's mantra of "Selective Harvest"...the 'C&R Only cult' gives me a headache.
  16. Or BOC Still have the ball-cap I bought at the BOC/Foghat concert I went to back in '82.
  17. Another reason I won't do tournaments...only fish I put in my livewell are ones that'll end up as fillets in my freezer.
  18. I have a pair of forceps for most hook removals and a pair of electronic pliers (long/thin) for the more difficult hooks. They're connected to retractable badge holders which clip into D-rings that hang off my belt. So they're both right at hand at all times...and yes, I did have to drill a hole in the handle of the pliers for the split-ring. (Click links for Amazon pages of items.)
  19. What's a vegetable? I'll occasionally have some broccoli, potatoes or peas with dinner...maybe 2-3 times a week...rare occasions I'll cook up some asparagus....otherwise I'm veggie-free. Fruit on the other hand...I always have cut-up honeydew in the fridge, oranges, bananas and sometimes some plums or kiwi. I probably go through 4-5 servings of fruit a day as that's what I 'snack' on.
  20. Sometimes you can do everything right...but it still goes all wrong. Don't despair over it...just move on and keep doing your best.
  21. Ya - he doesn't carry them anymore but Clyde's Cranks had 110 clones in different patterns...including White Crappie.
  22. Perch and White Crappie are my go-to for jerks. Only the 'special' ones, Andy.
  23. JD Power values used boats.
  24. Ya - I run 256gb cards in my cheap knock-off cameras. At 3gb/18 minutes at 1080p, I could fit 25hrs on one card. The two mounted cameras plug into the house battery via USB sockets. The 'portable' which is either shoulder mounted or chest mounted plugs into a 10,000 mAh power-pack...enough for 14hrs of recording.
