Hello all! My name is Geoffrey (Goose) Gilmore. I'm 37 years old, I have 2 kids (Boy-10, Girl-8). I've been fishing for 35 years on and off again depending on if where I was living had water nearby. I mainly grew up on perch, bream, crappie, catfish, redfish, flounder. I have never in my life fished for bass. That doesn't mean I haven't caught them though ;). I've tried everything i could think of to get my son involved in being outdoors, camping, fishing, sports, hunting, you name it. He absolutely hates fishing a cork! So about a year ago, he was playing around without a cork down at the lake and catches a 5.35lb bass. Needless to say, he has been "hooked" ever since. I have no clue how to teach him properly and he's watched many many videos but I feel if I want to have this bond with him, I need to drop the cork myself and learn some new things. I was referred to this site by an acquaintance of mine and look forward to learning the tips and tricks that it takes to become a bass fisherman. We do not own a boat but I have purchased angling kayaks for us to get in ms so far that seems to be working well. Look forward to talking and learning and making connections!
Thanks in advance,
-Goose
