  1. Aha. Found a chat transcript in my email. Sure enough, she said Nov. 20th.
  2. I'm 95% sure that they said November 20th but I can't prove it. I'm wondering if they're still on sale in stores though, because somebody on here posted something yesterday saying they just bought one on sale at BPS. ^
  3. I was about to pull the trigger on an $80 carbonlite while they were still on sale. Asked BPS on a live chat how much longer they would be on sale, and they said through November 20th. Well, yesterday (Nov. 14th) I checked the price and they're no longer on sale. Are they still on sale in store, or should I wait till black Friday, or what?
  4. It's up to you, but I would buy it. Also, you might consider a fishing kayak, if you're one of the few that likes fishing out of those. For a few thousand dollars you can get a really nice one with a good trolling motor. An added bonus is the option of launching it in ponds, something you can't do with a bass boat. Good luck bud.
  5. Thanks. That's what I wondered. Guess I'll have to get in iBobber. ?
  6. I meant sometime this winter, although I would guess that it's almost cold enough for that in Vermont.
  7. I searched on Sam Rayburn to view it on satellite, then scrolled back over to this pond so it still says Sam Rayburn. ^ Yeah, people always say to use google maps to find structure underwater but I can never see anything.
  8. If your lakes are iced you should try ice fishing.
  9. Thanks. The point is the part of the bank in the bottom of the picture, right?
  10. I'll try that. Thanks. I actually just realized that that picture may have been taken while it was frozen. Something about it just looks frozen, and it was taken in December.
  11. This is a google maps image of part of the pond I fish. I know it's hard to tell from the picture, but I'm seeing a lot of darker spots, grainy looking spots, etc. Is there any structure/anything that would hold winter bass?
  12. First fluke fish. I already love flukes. ?
  13. I'm probably not the best person to ask because I haven't used many rods to compare it to, but I think it's pretty nice for the money. Not the most sensitive rod out there, but it's held up to a lot of heavy use, it's lightweight, and it's not too expensive. I am planning on getting a carbonlite 2.0 soon though. I need something for jerkbaits/flukes/shakey heads/etc.
  14. Yup. Have you used it?
  15. Thank you man. Yeah, it wasn't exactly topwater because he hit it when it was a few inches below the surface, but close enough. Yeah, I already like them. Unfortunately I think it's getting too cold to effectively fish them now. High in a few days is going to be 39. I got a football head jig and jerkbait ready though.
  16. It'll be 39 for the high in a few days. I'll probably be throwing a jerkbait.
  17. Caught this dink on a fluke this afternoon. I was lucky to land him because I accidentally pressed the spool down before setting the hook. Took me about five seconds to get up all the slack and set the hook but he was still on. I didn't weigh it but I think it's safe to say that it was at least ten pounds, right? ? Does my face make you feel uncomfortable?
  18. Why is KVD not on there?
  19. I'd say anything under 50 is cold. Anything under 30 is really cold.
  20. Trust me, you'd love hand warmers. My hands get cold easily too but not with those hand warmers. They're awesome.
  21. Eh, it gets down colder than you'd think here. It was -6 degrees one night last year.
  22. Anybody else here like fishing in the winter? Not many people would agree with me on this, but I think it's more fun than fishing in the summer. I keep hand warmers in my tackle box and just wear several layers and I love it. Am I the only one? ?
  23. Why didn't I think of that? I think it's pretty obvious what it was now.
  24. It's fairly stained water. There's a decent amount of shoreline weeds, laydowns, etc. It's really shallow in half the lake (2 - 4 feet) and the other half of the pond just drops off to deeper water (5 -10 feet). It's kind of odd.
