  1. Bisk, you work hard for your money right? If you were to make a product, would you send it to a customer like this? I'd refuse the boat and ask for another one. I wouldn't even let them fix it by hand, but thats just me. You're spending 11K on this boat, it should LOOK good from the factory. By you refusing, you are also showing tracker who is boss. *THE CONSUMER* If tracker sees that these boats are having quality issues, maybe they will announce to the production team that quality is suffering. They need to slow down and pay attention to what they are doing. If people accept the poor quality, then it becomes the norm. I know I wont be accepting it, no matter how long it gets delayed. You are better off accepting a demo model boat in August when they start going on sale, as those were built the best out of all of them IMO.
  2. Sounds like mine is moving up then. I ordered from bass pro 2 weeks ago and they said June. a fella on here said he ordered this past weekend and he was in August. i do believe that it goes in time of order from tracker, not specific to certain dealers. Some independent dealers ordered boats and have been getting stock in. I could pick up one about 200 miles away in April but I’ll wait it out for a local delivery.
  3. Just got one of those 1000 amps and a case. Thanks for the tip. Now just need to order my spare tire.
  4. Both. grew up in Methuen Mass to 8, moved to rural Grinnell Iowa for 1 year, then to Tampa FL, then back to small town Iowa. lots of moves in between those times but I wound up on an Acreage in Iowa after many, many locations.
  5. what's worth it would be to send them each a link, containing a video of you jumping up and down on them, crushing them and grinding them into dust with your steel toed boots . hahaha...
  6. I agree, my sister in law loves the Garrett AT pro and she has found tons with it. I started with a whites VX3 and then gave it to a friend to introduce him to the hobby. I got a V3I used it a couple years and gave that to a different friend because he had interest. then I got a Minelab 3030 which I still use now. excellent machine. I also have a equinox800.
  7. Fellas, anyone here regret getting this boat so far? just wanting to know overall satisfaction. another situation I don't understand. The 170 says 4 person or 555lbs. this one says 3 person or 555 lbs. why is this? it' s still the same weight isn't that the main goal, not to go over the 555 lbs?
  8. Thanks for the recommendation Kroberts9, I'll make it happen. probably do this - STZ721MHRB-AGS I've held a couple at PBS...they are nice.
  9. Yes Sir, great hobbie. Went out last Sunday with my brother and his wife. We all pulled some nice coins. always have a great time diggin' up history.
  10. congrats man! finally someone after me orders still must be rolling in because I ordered a couple weeks ago and they said late June. that's fine with me but I am still thinking about getting a 175 as I like the 4 person capacity and the rod storage. I want a smaller boat and like the vintage look...so I may stick it out.
  11. I have 3 of the greenies, still in service. first year greenies at that. Also have the first year citica, still working, but retired. My first shimano was a Bantam and well..i still have it too and it works but I retired that one as well. those were a bit more easily worn, especially the pinion.
  12. Haha, the blue one is a SL70ko and the orange and black is a XL70ko. I do have pics but don't wanna clog the thread. I'll post in other someday. I have 12 different minis 70s and 50s.
  13. some of my combos. still need to find a new rod for the Met, going on 2 years now.
  14. wondering how thus hub is attached. I may yank mine off for the trip home and then figure out a fix later. IF tracker keeps building this way... I still have a long long wait. are those screws easy to located? if not can you give us a run down on location? thanks man
  15. not worth the work selling a $30 system would have been nice to have options here.
  16. any ideas what GPS/Fish finder upgrade options that may work with the same transducer that comes with the boat?
  17. add me to the list. I put a deposit in last week, was told june/July. was also told that they started back up an old shut down plant in order to kick out more product. that didn't give me the warm fuzzies. What would they be doing at the other plant, hand welding the boats?! yikes!! it' not a bad thing, as thats the way they used to do it but a guarantee the pro welders retired a decade ago. Anyway, since it's so long out, I may cancel my order and pick dealer stock up before then, and hopefully it will be a well manufactured boat. growing up in the 70s, I remember the first trackers of Virgil Ward...he was my best buddy on Saturdays. I was an avid fisherman, just always did my fishing from shore or a friend's boat. I've been ill with Lyme disease for the last 8 years and finally starting to feel a bit better.... lost a lot of good time with my young sons...not so young anymore. Want to fish again and take my boys out before it's too late.... my little one (10) loves it and always asks if we can go. No more shore fishing for me tho...unless from a dock or rocks. anyway, I was thinking about possibly a higher end boat but I love the vintage look. plus, it's aluminum so it will hold up and at the 10k price range I won't feel bad about running into stuff a bit...or scuffing it up. I am concerned about my rods and reels however, as I have some high end rods and reels so would like more rod storage as Id like to bring at least 3 or 4 polls myself not including the kids stuff. also would like to replace the cheap fish finder with something with GPS/map overlay. I really want to get out and use this... I've been away from fishing for far too long. it used to be my only passion from 6 to 35 YO. time to make it so again.
