I'm not fishing the anytime soon but I love throwing spooks off the points at the north side of the island. I find the far points and position the boat in about 8 feet of water and throw as far out parallel with the point as possible. I usually get a limit of nice smallies by 8 in the morning this way. Later I go with a green pumpkin with chartruese tail worm that is 6 or 8 inches and throw in either in the tulies near the mouth of the river or at any shallow shorelines with red rock. Hope this helps. It is the best I have found in my trips to havasu.
Good luck
Brett
