I like to fish all around the southeast. Lakes, creeks, and rivers around Georgia, Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, and Tennessee are the places I like to fish. Mostly, I fish for bass, but I also love to fly fish for trout, and flats fish in the keys. Occasionally, I also spear fish.

  1. Which of this rigs would you use for top water? I see you have the last one for frogging. Also what does mag hvy mean? Cheers ?
  2. Big things happening y'all! I am moving from Kennesaw, GA to Auburn, AL this summer. What are good places to fish for bass in the area? I am gonna continue to hold a GA fishing license in addition to an AL license, so that broadens my horizons. Also, I'm investing in a nice fishing kayak so I can cover some water. Lakes Harding, and Martin look like the closest big bodies of water. There also seem to be a lot of small lakes and ponds in the Auburn/Opelika area. I know nothing about those bodies of water. Any suggestions about fishing the area, the bodies of water, and/or tackle would be hugely appreciated! Cheers
  3. Thanks A-Jay! This looks like exactly what I need to learn about rod selection! ?
  4. Hey y’all! My name is David and I currently live in Kennesaw, Georgia but I’m moving to Auburn, Alabama in July. I am really new to fishing have been fishing as a sport for about a year now; mainly for bass but I really enjoy other types of fishing as well. Therefore, any beginner tips are appreciated. This summer I’m looking to step up my fishing game. I’ve been getting into kayak fishing, and I really want some new rods and reels to add to my arsenal. I already have a 6’6” medium spinning rig. If anyone could recommend what they think are 2 or 3 super versatile rod/reel setups and their uses, that would be massively helpful! I was thinking 1 more spinning set up and 2 baitcasters. I want some more gear but I don’t want to be bogged down with too many rods and reels. Any help is welcome! Also, does anyone know of kayak bass tournaments in Alabama? Since I’m moving there this summer, I want to get involved in competitions in Alabama. Really excited to be on the forum! Thank you in advance for any help! Cheers ?, David
