  1. Sam, thank you for the helpful information. And I do plan on going to the expo this weekend. Igotwood, that could work one day. If you want, shoot me a message on here if you can.
  2. Never got the chance to. Unfortunately had some family stuff that came up. I live on the lake. It's up about a foot to a foot and a half now. But I've caught some decent fish in not so great conditions. Also, on an unrelated topic to this, I'm getting tired of fishing by myself all the time. Pretty new to this forum stuff, is there anywhere on here to look up something like a fishing buddy or something?
  3. Hello all, I'm fishing Lake Chesdin tomorrow. Haven't fished since early October and will be my first time fishing it during winter months? Should I focus more on steep drop offs, certain points? Ideas for baits? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
  4. NHBull. I am turning it off at the unit.
  5. I gotcha. That's one thing that I did was turn off my dash unit and was still doing the same thing. Went to an area of the lake where it 15-20ft deep and it was still way off. The depth was blinking and I was getting vertical blue bars going down my screen using traditional sonar in classic white.
  6. I have a Garmin Striker plus 9sv as my bow unit. My depth readings are way off on sonar. I'm in 4-5ft of water and its reading 30+ feet. I'm also getting hard bottom at the very top of my screen. The trolling motor is an older Minn kota edge. Any advice on how to correct is appreciated in advance.. set on auto-med. Noise reject is off. Have on chirp setting at 455Khz.
  7. I just bought a used boat and the bow mounted fishfinder doesn't work. Currently have the Garmin 250c on there. Looking at the Garmin Striker 5cv to replace it. Do I need a new transducer or no?
