  1. If you haven’t already visited don’t forget to check shallow as well, especially in the trees you see in the water. Swim jig in the trees has done well for me over the years if I can’t find them deep. I live on the lake and have caught some good ones already this summer walking around in my back yard. Cherry Seed Mag II worms or Ol Monster T-rigged or Carolina rigged. Deep cranks in Citrus Shad and some bait fish colors, big spoons and big blade baits, and 3/4 oz jigs along with swimbaits are the norm here. Enjoy your trip if you haven’t already been here.
  2. That’s straight from the factory, that other fuel can is just a small 2 gallon I put in there in case I get a wild hair and run it to fumes on the main tank.
  3. https://ibb.co/f1t4s7 https://ibb.co/mU065S Just make sure the fuel line isn’t bound up and moves with the motor cables when you turn the steering wheel left and right.
  4. I finally got to spend some time messing with the boat. I have a pet peeve when it comes to cable/wires and fuel line routing. I didn’t like the stress on the fuel line where it goes into the motor pan and the way the fuel line from tank to motor was just laying in the floor and rubbing against corners of the battery tray and motor mount bolt. I routed and secured the fuel line with the cables coming out of the motor where they enter the battery/fuel compartment and I also got the fuel line off the floor and secured it at different locations to keep it from flopping and rubbing anything. Something for you guys to look at, I have owned several boats in 30 years and I have seen holes rubbed into fuel lines on 1-2 times.
  5. How long are you guys running on the 6 gallons of fuel? I bought a small 2 gallon tank for that “just in case” situation. Fits perfect in the remaining space next to the batteries and gives me room for a tool bag. I haven’t had mine out yet but hopefully this week. Got my electronics installed and will be adding ratchet straps and a m-y wedge this week as well.
  6. Just ordered mine 5 minutes ago and seen your post. Took over a month to get my registration and decals from the state.
  7. I haven’t laid a tape measure to the compartment yet, but I was thinking about a 3 gallon tank like the one that came with the boat. I know they come in different dimensions depending on the manufacturer. A 3 gallon and battery may work in that space but just eyeballing it a 6 gallon tank and extra battery probably won’t fit comfortably. I’ll lay a tape in mine tomorrow and see.
  8. I bought a Lowrance Hook2 5 TripleShot for the dash and a Hook2 7x for up front. That 5 might interest you. http://fishfindersadvisor.com/hook2-5-tripleshot-us-inland/
  9. I mentioned putting a stainless on mine and one of the guys at BPS suggested the Spitfire props for our motors. Stainless is nice, but if you hit something it might cause a problem in the gear case. With the motors we are running I’d bet those Spitfire props would be the ticket. I run a 4 blade stainless on my Bullet with a 150 hanging on the back but I’ll be putting a Spitfire on my new 40 after break-in since it’s a lower HP and save a bunch of $$ to sink elsewhere in my Heritage.
  10. I purchased mine at the Sevierville Bass Pro here in East TN. My wait wasn’t long but I had the flu and in bed for 3 weeks and couldn’t get excited about mine showing up. Which probably is a good thing for me, because I am impatient as they get. Which is another good reason for me to get this boat and slow down my boat ride. I was also told if you now order it will be June-July before delivery. And as far as drilling holes......That’s your boat and add-ons are inevitable. I’m installing a transducer block on my transom so I can hang my transducers without drilling more holes into the hull. I’ll also be installing a Lowrance hook2 7x TripleShot up front (holes will be drilled in deck) I’ll also be installing a Hook2 on the dash (more holes) and when I find the comfy spot for my foot pedal I’ll drill it to the floor so it’s not flopping up/down on the deck or falling in the floor and possibly breaking rods. Matter of fact, one of the last things the man that gave me the walk around and inspection told me I could screw it down if I wanted. That’s when he adjusted mine on the front deck for the ride home. But......... don’t forget to read all the papers you signed and the 5 pounds of reading material that gave us. They always get me in the fine print if I don’t read. I can’t wait to break mine in, I have seen some standing timber and rock piles here at home with the water down this winter. I want to get them marked on my units and they are now covered with water due to all the rain we had. Time to ride.
  11. I have been a sleeper on here since Dec. I ordered my boat on 1/16 and she is now sitting at home as of 2 hours ago. I was told today that they never seen this demand coming and they are running 3 shifts and a new boat comes off the line every 45 minutes. How true, I don’t know, but that is what I was told. I have a 17’ Bullet bass boat that will flat out run and scare the demons out of you. I am looking forward to slowing down now and going places I won’t take my Bullet. Let those fellers at the boat ramp laugh at me in my new Heritage and call me a noob. I will take their $$ from them in this boat if need be. I love this boat already and I haven’t set it in the H2O yet. Be proud of what you have and just smile at the ones that want to call you a noob or all that boat ramp trash talk. I do believe I made a wise purchase and see lots of fish in our future. Be safe and hammer some fish with this warming weather that is coming.
