Thanks for your replies. I think i will see about getting some kind of 8 ga or 6 ga quick connect coupler for at the battery end & leave the front/factory one alone. Another quick little side question is I got some water (doesn't sound like much) inside of my pontoons this past weekend and I can't find any drain plugs to drain the water out. If you guys have Factory drain plugs on them I'd like to know where they are located? I can't seem to find any anywhere that I look. I saw some mention another thread somewhere about some by the transom but I'll be darned if I can find them.
Hi I'm not sure if anyone is following this post anymore. But I just recently bought a used Pond Prowler a couple months ago and I took it out this weekend for a trial run and I got some questions about the wiring for the trolling motor. The previous owner had wired up two wire flat Quick Connect (10 ga wire) plug off the battery to connect in the boat at the rear and the front has a quick connect 3 prong plug that looks to be 10 gauge wire. When I look at the bass pro shop website for pond Prowler accessories it shows the Quick Connect 3 prong plug stating that it is 10 gauge wire. I've got a Minn Kota 55 thrust trolling motor and the charts for it say that it's a 50 amp draw Max. I was always told that 10 gauge wire is only good for 30 amps Max. It looks to me like I'll be overloading the quick connector plugs when I'm running speed 4 or 5 on the trolling motor. Does anybody else have the same situation?
Hello All, I've been considering getting a Bass Raider 10E, while browsing around last night i noticed a listing for a Sun Dolphin Sportsman 10 listed at Home depot for the same price. Just wondering if anybody would have the pros and cons between the two?
