  1. looks like a copy of a dropshot to me
  2. I'm looking into buying a new medium to medium heavy action rod under 50 dollars, preferably available at bass pro. Any suggestions are useful, thanks.
  3. I'm thinking about getting a new spinning rod and reel on a 100 dollar budget or less available at bass pro. I'm looking for a medium or medium heavy rod, and just any old reel that gets the job done. All suggestions would help a lot, thanks.
  4. try dropshotting a 4 inch skinny plastic worm

  9. I've found some of these soft plastics called "smartbaits" at my local tackle store, and they're supposed to change color when put in cooler and warmer water. The color changing is supposed to catch more fish, but I'm not sure if it helps. They're also pretty pricey. I was wondering if anyone knew about these baits and if the colour changing really helps. Thanks
  10. I just started a worm farm for fishing and was wondering what I should feed them. So far I've fed them some blended potato peels and carrot peels, and they seem to like eating those. If anyone has any suggestions, they would really help! Thanks
  11. I just discovered that my local pond had some small yellow bullhead and suckers, but I don't know how to catch them. I'm guessing that you just cast a worm under a bobber, and play the waiting game. But I'm not sure which size hook to use, and if I should use any weights. If you have any setups or baits you can recommend me it would be helpful. Thanks!
  12. medium action spinning rod combo, paired up with some mono or fluro line. I recommended using a curly tailed grub on a jig head for a beginner, since they require no skill and catch tons of fish. I also recommended the rebel wee frog. All You have to do is cast, reel it in, and you'll get hooked up in no time. Here's a link to it: https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/rebel-wee-frog?searchTerm=rebel wee frog
  13. Bass pro has a spring fishing classic going on now, with tons of sales. I would go with bass pro because of the sale, but the sale starts and ends depending on which store you go to, so if you choose bass pro make sure that your shop has a sale going on now. Otherwise, there really is no difference between cabelas and bass pro
  14. I've never tried frog fishing before, and i was wondering which frogs you guys recommend. I recently purchased one at Canadian tire that was on sale for 4 bucks, like the one in the picture. The brand is Panther Martin, and I thought I would test it out since their spinners are good. Anything is helpful, thanks.
  15. I've tried there before. Its good for carp and there's some baby bass, but I'm not too into catching carp. I might try there again this summer, and see if it holds more bass. Thanks for the help.
  16. How bout this song
  17. I would prefer markham but anywhere in Toronto is also good.
  18. Hello I started getting into tackle making a few weeks ago and I’m not that good, and I was wondering if anyone knows any easy lure that an amateur can make. It doesn’t have to be a good fancy lure, I just want to learn how to make an easy simple lure. Anything helps, thanks
  19. I live in the Markham Toronto area, and I'm looking to find a new fishing spot nearby. I used to fish a pond with tons of bass, but some other anglers came and ate all the fish, including the baby bass. I'm looking for a spot in the GTA or nearby. Anything is helpful, thanks.
  20. Thanks. I might give the shad colours a second thought.
  21. I like to use a yellow curly tailed grub on a weighted jig head when pond fishing warm weather. It fools almost every bass that sees it. I usually use a steady retrieve, but when that doesn’t work I like to jig it up and down.
  22. The vmc weedless wacky rig hooks work well. I like to use a size 2
  23. The kvd squarebill is a good choice. Its cheap, and the bass love them! If you get them at bass pro theyre on sale for 4 bucks right now.
