  1. I'm in the Redding area - Lake Shasta and Whiskeytown.
  2. I remember reading Bassaholic's post on December 15th in 2017 starting this topic. With the ads from Bass Pro and the posts here I got excited and ordered my (first) boat on January 10th of 2018. Picked it up in March. All the posts here have been so informative and helped me along the way with my new adventure. And it has been a wonderful adventure! I'm 73 now and a little more unstable in the boat - balance is an issue sometimes. Getting on and off the boat and deploying the trolling motor (Terrova) can be sketchy! I don't want to give up fishing so I've decided to get a pontoon boat and sell (reluctantly) my Heritage. Just putting the word out if anyone has friends that might be interested. I'm in Northern California and the motor has 44 hours. Terrova, Bimini top, etc. etc. I'm asking 11k Thanks for a great two years of information and fun and Happy New Year to everyone.
  3. I ordered the top with the boat and had the dealer install it. I thought it was a 'no brainer' necessity. Turns out I've only had it on and up one time (got my boat in March and I've been out 30+times). That time I took my (non-fishing) wife for a ride and thought she would appreciate the shade. I did stop to fish on that trip and my first cast got my jerk bait stuck in the fabric because I wasn't used to it being there. For me, and my style of fishing, it just gets in the way. It restricts how I move around the boat and even if its folded down on the rear deck it takes up space. People I've taken with me that fish from the back prefer not to have it there. So mine is not on the boat and it's an issue to store - odd shape and big. I could have used the $400 for something else but I keep telling myself I might use it someday.....
  4. Anybody have any current bass info for Whiskeytown?
  5. Looks good! I got the Bass Pro boat buckles and they fit - the ratchet handle just brushes the tail light, but there is enough play that I can twist it slightly to make it work What rod strap did you get?
  6. Anyone have any ideas about mounting accessories. This doesn't come with Versatrack like the larger Tracker boats.
  7. Thanks for the heads up on storage box edge. Where did you order the spare from?
  8. Great forum - appreciate all the information! Ordered mine on January 11 and today when I checked, the dealer said my boat was built and waiting to ship. This will be my first boat and it's 'comforting' to see all the other first time buyers. I'm a 70+ year old senior and just sold my Hobie PA 14 to get this boat. The kayak was trailered so I have some experience on the adult boat ramp but everything else is new for me. Like several others I am restraining myself not to buy any accessories until I actually have the boat to see what I really need. I do have a question about which charger, for the trolling motor, is recommended. I won't be keeping the boat at home so I'll have to take out the trolling battery and charge it. Has anyone heard of the "Combiner 100"? It's supposedly a gadget that shares the output with the trolling motor when the outboard is running without messing up the batteries or warranty. Looking forward to pics of everyone's as they come in and any modifications that are made.
