Joespy hey do you still have your rt178 with the micro anchor. I am considering getting the micro anchor for my rt178 as well. Can you tell me the pros and cons that you have seen in the last two years with the anchor. Has it held the boat in windy conditions, etc...

Hey Guys I need some help, I am looking for a shallow water anchor for my RT178. I am looking at the micro anchor and the short talon 8ft. I have heard pros and cons about the micro because i would think that the boat fully loaded is definitely pushing the maximum holding weight. The Talon is twice as much but i would think would not have any problems holding. Also, if i go with the Talon, would the 40 extra pounds right on the motor slow me down considerably?? One other thing --does anyone know of a website or store that has the Talon's on sale right now ( i live in southwest louisiana). The micro's seem to be the same everywhere.
