  • About Me
    My name is Dave.
I have an addiction to Bass baits and lures.

Been fishing all my life but only been serious about Bass fishing for a few years thanks to the first topwater strike I ever got. Thats all it took and now I can't get enough of it.

  1. Quick question for you, what type of angle do you put in the wire? What I mean is, the hook in relation to the line tie?. I always find myself tweaking the wire on my store bought spinnerbaits. I ask you because you're actually the one putting the initial bends in a straight piece of wire. Thanks in advance. And sorry for posting a question on your thread OP.
  2. I recently picked up some 832 to try this season for the first time. Started out using Spider wire stealth Braid but have been using PP the last few years and have zero complaints. It's really about preference I think once you get in to the top brands.
  3. I know this post is somewhat old but I can't help but throw this out there, go to Bass Pro or wherever you can and grab a couple packs of spare skirts in White, white/chartreuse Black, Black/blue And keep them handy for your buzzbaits and spinnerbaits. Then you can quickly change em out depending on conditions. What I like to do is find a one or two of each bait that you like and then just change skirts instead of buying one in each color. I use the Booyah brand spinner and buzz. I also really like the Lucky Craft SKT spinnerbaits.
  4. I strongly recommend using the silver BBs if you're set on using them at all. The copper ones believe it or not will cause the frog/hooks and your box to rust. My personal experience. A much better alternative is rattles.
  5. Sorry I just joined the forums and hadn't setup my notifications yet. I want to say it was a Heddon or it may have actually been a Rebel. Honestly I would just buy a plain white one and paint as much Red on it as you want.
  6. I was at Field and stream recently and they had em. Was just like your pic except the red didn't fade out.
