Back in the saddle after a 17 year break from fishing. I am an avid bowhunter but was unable to bowhunt in 2017 due to health issues so I dusted off my old fishing gear and well you all know the rest... I'm only a C&R trophy terrorizer and admittedly think other than the $ tournament fishing is pretty silly. Thank goodness fishing is catch and release because if there was tournament bow hunting all the 1-2 year old bucks would be getting mowed down in a 10 hour time frame.<br>

Frankly if fisherman weren't such notorious embellishers I think the real big money tournament should be the best 10 fish over a year's time frame to find out who really is the best of the best. Obviously this could never happen unless cast to catch technology rapidly accelerates and all anglers had verified by wifi handheld scales in their possession, but still an interesting what if scenario.<br>

I'm definitely not putting down tournament fishing, if I thought I'd be good at it I would love to do it. For me there is too many techniques in todays tournament fishing and patience/attention span of the up and coming tournament bass fisherman is going the way of the wichita spotted bass.<br>

When I got back into fishing I saw a butch brown video, said that looks cool, and that's how I want to do it.<br>

Fishing is much much more enjoyable for me going to the lake with one hudd tied on and one back up in my bag and learning to fish it as well as I possibly can. <br>

It is also considerably cheaper too.<br>
