  1. I checked with Tracker factory service people and looked at the 170 in the showroom with brakes. It’s a standard 7pin connector that only uses 4 wires even with the brakes. The brakes are surge activated drums so there’s no backup lockout needed. I’m getting a plug from etrailer that has a 4/5 pin flat and a 7 pin round so I’m set no matter what I tow. It’s about $25.
  2. I think a lot of people have issues with that tach. If you look at the promotional photos it's sitting on about 700-1k rpm without the motor running. If you read posts on tracker/mako boats with this set up a lot of folks complain about the tach.
  3. Yeah, That one should plug right in to your current 4pin and the three others will just be loose unless you have the wiring for them already.
  4. I chatted with Tracker Sales online last week to ask the same question. I was told that it is a 7 pin SAE standard connector. The overall connector is round and the pins are flat. I'm not sure which you were asking about. I ordered mine with trailer brakes so I wanted to know exactly what the connector was so that I'm set to go. I went into Bass Pro and looked at a 170 with the trailer brakes also. They are drum brakes with a surge type actuator so the connector, a round 7 flat pin SAE, is only wired to 4 of the pins. There's not even a 5th pin needed for the brake lockout on the drum brakes so all you need to do is cut off your 4 pin and buy a 7 or even a 7/5/4 multi connector for the vehicle side and then attach your wires to the correct terminals. You can always add a brake controller later for some other trailer but you won't need it for this even if it has brakes. This is what I'm getting for mine... Etrailer * Item # HM48470
  5. I just talked to the sales manager at my local bass pro. I ordered 1/31 and his computer is showing April 18 th as the scheduled date to the store He said their store in Rocklin Ca has 15 on order and Manteca has 30! The demand has been huge. They weren’t told that their first one was supposed to be kept as a store display so they sold it the day it arrived.
  6. I plan on mounting my existing unit in place of the 3x on the console and moving the 3x up to the bow.
  7. That would have been scary indeed! I just had Ken at reclending do a soft pull and tell me what I should expect for rates and terms and I'll wait until closer to delivery to finalize it so the bank only does one hard inquiry. I called them based on reviews on a few forums. He was extremely helpful and I can't recommend them enough.
  8. Yeah, that's what they told me at the 800 number for Tracker Sales. I was asking the same thing as I'd heard different numbers for how many there would be for sale. She said that they had asked the same thing and were told that there was no max quota but that since it's only a 2018 model and they stop building new 2018's around May/June then there would definitely be a cutoff somewhere before that point. She said the only urgent thing is that the incentives are slated to go away April 15th so you need to buy the boat prior to that. I would imagine some dealers would be willing to complete the transaction even if the boat were still on order if you were paying cash but I'm not sure. I went ahead and ordered mine yesterday. I'm hoping for a March delivery since the weather probably won't cooperate until then anyway and it gives me a few weeks to prepare. They will order it with a $250-$500 deposit depending on the dealer and that is a REFUNDABLE deposit since it's just a stock boat without any options so if you're on the fence but leaning toward purchasing you can order it and have another 6-8 weeks to decide if you actually want it. If you find something else or change your mind you get the deposit back and they sell it to someone who walks into the store and likes it.
  9. Also, in order to get the $400 gift card and free boat cover you have to take delivery by April 15th...
