Inshore and Offshore are hard to fit into one rod, like bigbassin said, for most inshore fish a bass rod would work fine. That Daiwa is a good size versatile reel if you are only going to have one saltwater reel, but casting it all day is gonna wear you out if your using artificials. I like Ugly stik, Calico Jack is good too in that same price range 6' 6" medium heavy or even a 7' would cover a wide range of possibilities. May be a bit under powered for some, and a bit over powered for others...but a wide range of just right.
Caught this one on an Ugly stik inshore select 7' Medium light, wouldn't have been my fish choice but since trout was our target species its what I had in my hand and it got the job done
