  1. All of the above. But I think you'd be way better off updating your current reels with carbontex drag washers, and some good bearings, rather than replacing.
  2. A good chunk of KVD's $6+ million tournament winnings have come from a 6/10 XD. Idk, he might be on to something with em
  3. I wasn't going to get super invested in diving into every states registration fees. I'm sure we can agree that while one of the 50 states may even charge more, that $400 isn't likely?
  4. You would think she would, but apparently she's trying to pocket an extra $50 https://www.dmv.org/nh-new-hampshire/boat-registration.php
  5. 2 oz, 25' diving cranks?
  6. Guess it depends on what they are. It's not worth it to repair a black max. A Chronarch, on the other hand, will last forever with a little maintenance and a new part here and there
  7. Throwing 10XD's on either of those sounds miserable.
  8. I'm gonna call BS. Pretty sure California has the highest fee at $49. You'll never see a tournament without graphs for pedals. That's like BASS doing the elites without trolling motors. But if you have an issue with motors, there's other trails that don't allow them.
  9. $20-30 a piece, maybe?
  10. So you want to do a tournament for...a tournament club? I assume they already have a tournament director?
  11. Lithium will have a BMS shutoff around 15-20%. So you're really only getting 6.5 hours max
  12. The 93sv pulls 1.25a. 10 might not be enough, depending on how long you need it to run, and definitely won't be enough if you got lead acid
  13. See, if my living room TV broke, I wouldn't even know for at least a week. If one of my rods went missing, I'd notice that before the day ended. It's a hobby, and all of it's expenses are equal to whatever level of interest you have in it.
  14. I'm a big gear nut. But I'm also a big believer in the law of diminishing returns. Is a $500 rod better than my $150 rods? Absolutely. Is it $350 better? Eh, not to me. Is my $140 reel better than that $30 Walmart reel? Yeah, and it'll last a good 10 years of service, and has a great warranty. The extra expense is worth the quality, without spending more than I should for features I don't need.
  15. You're asking a single rod to do too many things, and be good at them all. Some people can be snide about it all they want, different rods have different characteristics that make them excel at certain things. I don't believe you need a $500 rod for every technique or situation, but I think you'd be better off with 2-3 $100 rods than you would be trying to make a single $200+ rod work for 3 completely different applications.
  16. That's at least 3 separate rods.
  17. That's one of the best features of the genesis line, most rods were designed for a specific technique by someone who knows exactly what kind of rod is required.
  18. It'll work I a pinch, but it's far from ideal. Definitely underpowered for musky. Conversely, musky rods are a terrible choice for bass swimbait fishing
  19. That's easy. Striker. The hook is junk, the tripleshot is trash. I can't wait to get rid of mine.
  20. No experience with that exact model, but I love the rest of my Genesis rods. I do know that rod is super light, comes in under 6 oz. And the handle conveniently comes off so it can fit into your rod locker. And it's designed by Bub Tosh, who might know a thing or two about punching.
  21. Tacklewarehouse price matches. Doesn't look like they offer the ti2, anymore, though. They do have the echomap. The only Helix 5 they offer is the G2, and I definitely wouldn't pay $500 for one. It's older, and they're going for like $250-300 on the used market, and are a dime a dozen.
  22. If you can swing an extra $100, BPS has the echomap 73sv for $599, and it's much better in terms of imaging, features, and resale value if you ever upgrade. Academy has the Lowrance ti2 7" for $500, currently, as well. The amount of features you get with it fit right in between the two Garmins. I'd only get the Helix if you can find a 7" in your budget. Plenty of offerings on the used market
  23. Kimber's are super pretty, over priced MIM filled scrap metal. I have no idea how they show up to shops looking so good on the outside, because I've some where it looks like a blind man machined the internals. I'm certain Helen Keller runs their QC.
  24. I haven't needed their customer service, but everything I've heard echoes this. I wish they would expand their Crusher lineup, I really like it.
  25. Kinda depends on the day. Is it slick calm and I found fish 1/4 mile from the ramp? That's probably not burning off enough calories to call it a workout. Then there's days with 12mph wind, can't find fish on that side of the lake (with only 1 launch area available), and a headwind on your way back in.
