  1. Well, I got almost 3" yesterday in addition to 6" over the prior two weeks. The Mississippi River is expected to rise 5' here at Memphis. The Pickwick Dam gates are open releasing 130,000 cfs 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week and that may be increased! Our drought appears to be over.

  3. This is our winter and will probably last six weeks or so. PRIME TIME starts around the 1st of February.
  4. Missed one: Demon https://www.americanlegacyfishing.com/rapala-dt-series-crankbait-dt6-demon-dt06dmn.html
  5. Nope... I have one Daiwa reel which I keep quarantined in a different room from my Shimanos. I don't want to take the chance that it might be contagious.
  6. I have had these fights on numerous occasions, especially on my local ponds when fishing from the bank. I love me the feisty smalljaws, but an 8 lb green fish with attitude is another excellent treat!
  7. Water release trumps all other variables on the Tennessee River System. Right now we have a bit too much....130,000 cfs below Pickwick Dam later this week.
  8. That's a cute one!
  9. If you hooked a 3lb smallmouth up with a 5 lb largemouth the brown fish would drown the green fish!
  10. Mike does all of mine: https://www.delawarevalleytackle.com/
  11. For light and medium weight treble hooks I like the PR844C
  12. The Mississippi river is expected to rise 5' over the next several days at Memphis. It appears the drought is over.
  13. Pickwick Dam is approaching 130,000 cfs release. https://www.tva.com/environment/lake-levels/pickwick
  14. Primarily I use the 842 for lighter weighted soft plastics: Rage Menace, Structure Bug, swim jigs, paddle tails and Jackhammer. Mine is saddled with a Conquest 100 and #15 Tatsu. Casting distance is exceptional.
  15. GLX MBR 842C might be my favorite rod.
  16. But you are getting a surprise tomorrow or Friday that may turn things around.
  17. That is a beauty!
  18. Well, A-J is the MAN, but I personally get more bites on lighter line. I prefer #4 Tatsu, but on the Tennessee River the rocks are handled a little better with #6. So, it's a mix, but I never go bigger with spinning tackle. For my baitcasting presentations it's #11 Armilo for treble hooks, #15 Tatsu for everything else.
  19. You would need a hydraulic press to damage an Ugly Stick!
  20. I have never had an issue either.
  21. #4 or #6 Gamakatsu Octopus Circle Hook
