Well, I target big browns on the White River below Bull Shoals Dam a couple of times a year. It seems to me the "fly guys" are all about style and they are REALLY good at casting a weightless bug onto a dime. Plus, I like their costumes and gear! So, I say "Go get 'em, boys!" He was so thankful that the fish had been released which resulted in his subsequent catch he had two replicas made: one for him and another for the guy that caught it first.

Well, it's winter here with temperatures in the 40's...Too cold for me to fish on the river. February is a different story. Fishing days are selective, but it's my very best month for BIG smallmouth. Hope to be on the Tennessee River in a week or two.

Well, my chili is simmering and all the fixin's are prepared and ready to go! I'm going to add Hoagies on Sunday. Next weekend BBQ. Practicing for the Super Bowl.
