Our first trip to Pickwick was a couple of weeks ago. TVA had seven flood gates open. I caught a nice green fish right off the bat and my partner caught a brown fish. We fished from 8:00 until about 4:00. Those first fish were our only bites all day! The only variable of note was shutting down four gates. Reduced the flow and completely shut down the bite.

There are people here in Memphis that like to eat those fish. They bring $1 per pound. March is a good month for bigguns mostly caught on minnows, but I caught a monster last year on a GYCB Kreature. State record is 62 lbs.

There is a good chance the Chiefs and Eagles will face each other next year or in another Super Bowl down the road. Both have great coaching and quarterbacks. I would like to see Kansas City add a running component other than Mahomes to their game.
