  1. Sorry you had problem I have nothing but great dealings with them and they are not a horrible company
  2. BFS is great especially with an Aldebaren BFS
  3. Orvis and Mad River Outfitters both have a lot of bass flies
  4. The thing I saw going from blue label to gold label other than being better line is knot strength being much better especially in braid to floro with Alberto knot. If you do Alberto right they don’t break as they do occasionally with blue, tatsu and abrazx
  5. I used to use blue label and it’s pretty good but not near as good as gold label. Both are better than regular floro
  6. Best has been NRX plus 842s. I’ve done well with NRX 852s jwr. Best with 110 jrs and handles 110s is NRX 822 dsr all with Stradic 3000 xg and braid to floro leader.
  7. I will probably use my NRX Plus 843c MBR and thanks for replies
  8. What rods are you using for 1/2 oz dark sleeper.
  9. NRX 841c inshore has more power and could do all BFS with this more than other 2 but all 3 are great can’t go wrong with any of them
  10. More like a badger hole for me and if I had 1 to pick it would be NXS 841c inshore and Aldebaren braid to floro. This is unreal on casting distance and size of smallmouth it can handle. Ned rigs and wacky Senkos And also works great for jig n raps and blades for walleye
  11. I did this last year. I had carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists. My right wrist did not respond. I cast spinning with my right hand so I did casting with my left hand spinning was all NRX and I went with Aldebaren BFS and Expride 6’8” light and Megabass pop x stick and NRX plus 841c inshore and has been a blast fishing with these. It is unreal how far you can cast with these outfits I fish a 1/10 oz Ned rig on the 841c farther than on spinning and have caught a lot of 3-5lb smallmouth on this on Lake Huron. I don’t think you would be disappointed
  12. It was pretty good for other things. Spinnerbaits, swimbaits weightless Senkos
  13. I had a Cashion jerkbait top water rod and it’s a really nice rod and I had no problem with braid to leader
  14. Thanks and that’s what I thought. I have NRX plus in 842c and 843c and I bet one of those would work for 110 plus 2s
  15. Been thinking about Daiwa floro. How is memory on it Have you tried 110 plus 2s on yours or Pointer 110s
  16. Don’t overlook the 822 dsr. Great for drop shot but also a great finesse rod and best spinning rod I have ever used for smaller jerk baits and I have tried several NRXs and others
  17. Megabass Destroyer P5 110 Stick after first season of with an Aldebaren 50 HG MGL with 9lb Shooter has been by far the best jerk bait outfit I have ever used. Caught several bass and walleye mostly on 110s and 110 Jr it’s a pleasure to fish and you don’t lose fish on this. It’s expensive but at 73 and carpal surgery it’s worth it to me.
  18. I have 2 Aldebaren BFS using 6lb 832 with a leader is working great. Usually a 6 or 8 lb floro leader
  19. I got an NRX Plus inshore 841c and I really line it. Paired with an Aldebaren BFS to me it’s almost perfect Aldebaren BFS on NRX Plus 842c works great with light Neds and 1/10 oz 2.75 coffee tubes. Unreal how these little baits cast on this set up and have a little backbone for bigger fish than on lighter Inshore NRX Plus 841c. Both setups are great
  20. I agree but I couldn’t believe the distance I could get with Expride 6’8” casting a Lucky Craft SP65 and length was great for working small jerkbaits. I also have an NRX Plus 841c Inshore and I don’t think it could get any better than this
  21. I have one and put an Aldebaren BFS reel on it and love it. I have been fishing a Lucky Craft 65sp on it in my pond and catching a lot of crappies and bass and working great. I would give it a 10 so far
  22. I got my Expride at American Legacy did you try them
  23. Just gettin into BFS mainly due to injuries that hinder casting heavier baits for extended times. Bought 2 Alderaren BFS reels and a Shimano Expride 6'8" light and Loomis NRX plus Inshore 841c. Weight fo each outfit Expride 8.1oz and NRX 7.8oz. I have been catching crappie and bass in my pond all of December using the Expride and a LC Pointer 65 and it"s a ball and can handle pretty good fish. I just got NRX today and tried with Z Man 1/15oz jig and finesse TRD and it casts great. The Aldebaren and NRX 841 might be the ultimate BFS combo
  24. Aldebaren BFS, NRX + 842c MBR I am really liking it casting great 1/10 oz jig with 2.75 fat coffee tube. I also have an Expride 6’8” light waiting on another Aldebaren BFS. I wish Loomis would do an NRX + 901c I think it would be perfect with an Aldebaren
