  1. Hmm I tried to buy some stunnas with it… wonder if it doesn’t work with them I tried it with 4 slibberknockers also and it didn’t work. Maybe there’s some kind of restriction by state? I’m really not sure
  2. They must have taken down the BELK50 code. Didn’t work for me just now
  3. It’s more-so the cork handle grip near the reel seat that is thicker on the enox rods (and maybe the Zolo too?). The rod blank itself isn’t any thicker than my other non-ALX rods.
  4. I owned the LSB rod. It felt maybe a tad underpowered for the 1/2 oz + trailer football jigs I was throwing on it… 3/8 seemed to be the sweet spot. I also have a bmj, strike, and decoy. My favorite is the decoy. Super versatile rod.
  5. Expride 7’6 MH is a great football jig rod.
  6. Agreed. The 894 is better for 3/8-3/4 oz jigs.
  7. A rigs for me. But man does it catch fish when it’s on.
  8. Yep, they charged me around $30. Next time I’ll go to UPS or FedEx and not have to deal with this. Lesson learned!
  9. Yes, I added insurance. So far they’ve just been a pain to deal with and it has me concerned.
  10. Recently shipped a rod to a buyer via USPS. It was a disaster from the start - rod was supposed to ship to NC and ended up in Florida. Nobody knew where it was or what happened to it. About 10 days later it arrived and the rod tube was broken in half and so was the rod inside. I refunded the buyers money and have started the process of an insurance claim. Has anyone tried this before with any luck? Worried that I will be eating the cost on this rod… not cheap.
  11. Albino, whiteback Shad, brownie are my favorites
  12. I used to own the hustler. Pros: Loads up very smoothly on fish, great taper pretty versatile blank - can throw most cranks up to 10-12 ft comfortably Cons: The blank is pretty thick due to it being a glass composite.

    Underspins?

Does anyone here make underspins? Looking for some with a stronger gauge hook for casting gear, not a finesse hook.
  14. I’m using the Expride 7’2 MH in light to medium cover right now… laydowns, docks, light grass. Works great for 1/4-3/8. If you throw 1/2oz a lot, maybe look at the 7’2 H. Zodias line is good too for less $$$
  15. Looking for a Shimano poison adrena 7’4 H. Let me know what you have.
  16. Maybe the Expride A’s will go on sale now so I can buy more of them
  17. Looking for a rod to throw glide baits, a-rigs, and swimbaits. Most baits will be 3 oz or less. What are your favorite rods $300 or less? Used to have the fury 795 swimbait rod. It got the job done, but looking for something that has a little better feel. That 795 power seems about right for my purposes though.
  18. Take 41 South of Naples towards the Everglades. Lots of freshwater canals, rivers, and ponds with bass, tarpon, and snook. Many are untouched since most people are targeting the saltwater.
  19. Looking to restock a lot of my tungsten weight collection. Where’s the best bang for your buck to buy them in bulk?
  20. Reds and oranges don’t work well for me in my lakes, although we generally have pretty clear water and I think that is the issue.
  21. I throw a 3/16 black and blue jig a lot in cold water here (low 40 degree water temps). I usually pair it with a netbait tiny paca chunk and throw on spinning gear with 8-10 lb line. Seems to excel on those bluebird skies day when they won’t eat a blade bait or jerkbait.
  22. Blade baits work best for me when water temps are around 37-45 here in the Midwest. I do catch bass, walleye, crappie, and perch through the ice on them as well. As AJay said, less is more with a blade bait. A lot of times I see guys ripping them really aggressively, and while this can catch fish, I seem to do better with more gentle hops, especially in the frigid temps. You want to lift the rod just until you feel the blade vibrate, then let it fall back down. Depending on the blade, you’re usually only moving the rod tip 4-6” at a time. You usually don’t feel the bite unless the fish are ultra aggressive. The rod will just load up on the next lift or sometimes you’ll see the line stop falling and you know a fish has it. My favorite is the Vibe-e in silver, gold, or black Shad. 1/4-3/8 oz depending on depth.
  23. 7’ medium spinning. Tube with a 1/4oz head.
  24. I used to have a bunch of zolos and still own a few that I use for moving baits. Sensitivity was slightly above average for their price range in my hands. They are a good workhouse rod that can handle some abuse. Most of the zolos fish like a Loomis mag bass rod if you’re familiar with that rod action. A few years ago I switched over to the zodias/expride rods. They are definitely more sensitive, but not sure about their durability yet. I had an expride tip snap on the cast (shimano replaced it at no cost)… but never broke a zolo.
