I've been trout fishing as long as I can remember and just started getting into bass fishing a few years ago. Trying to be a sponge and soak up as much bass knowledge as my brain can hold

  1. There are a few small reservoirs near me that are so conveniently close to me that it’s hard not to give them a shot. The tough part is there is next to no shoreline cover (no boats watercraft allowed), not a lot of rock or vegetation, and there is a ton of fishing pressure. All bodies of water are relatively shallow and don’t have many coves or points. What would be the best way to find some fish?
  2. Hey all! I know that there are tons of resources out there for folks just starting to get into bass fishing and a lot of it can be overwhelming for someone new. Many of the info and recommendations out there are split between fishing reaction type baits first, others swear by starting off with soft plastics to develop a "feel." Other sites talk about the importance of learning bass behavior and patterns first. But aside from just going out and fishing as much as possible, what would be the number one tip that you would give someone new?
  3. Hi all, I've been an avid reader of Bass Resource for a while now and finally decided it was time to sign up. I've been fishing trout since I was a kid and have recently gotten OBSESSED with bass fishing in the past few years. Unfortunately I don't have a boat so I tread the banks as often as my work schedule allows. My favorite spots are Anderson Reservoir and Calero Lake. I'm trying to learn as much as I possibly can so I can catch as many fish as possible every time I go out. Looking forward to learning from y'all!
