    Retired.  Coach of the Franklin, TN high school fishing team.  I no longer fish tournaments.  I fish from my 18' alum. Fisher with a merc 115 equipped with Hds10 (bow) and Hds12 (console) and a new MinnKota Ultrex with spotlock.  Bass fishing has been my passion for 50 years and I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others and appreciate the same.

    I am pulling my bass boat to DeLand, FL on Feb. 19, 2018 and will be fishing from the 20th to March 2nd. This will be the earliest I have ever fished Florida. I'll go anywhere the bite is good and would appreciate info on the St. John's central section and other "honey holes" within an hours drive. I chose this time of year because I've caught "long bass" in late March and April that I suspect would have been 2 lbs. heavier in January or February. Any info is appreciated!
