  2. I am planning on buying all new batteries for the trolling motor and maybe a new cranking battery. I believe the batteries are close to original to the boat so they would be around 7 years old so they are due for replacement. So I could run 2 group 31 deep cycle batteries for my trolling motor? Sorry for asking so many questions but the help is very appreciated.
  3. Hi guys, I bought a boat this spring with a minn kota powerdrive v2 55lb and it is run on a 12v system with only one battery. After doing some research I found that the powerdrive is only a 12v system I have been wanting to add another battery so I can have more power throughout the day I tend to run the battery down in 5 hours of fishing with it on 10 most of the time. This doesn't have to be a long term fix just to get me through this upcoming season then I will be upgrading. If you have any ideas how to run a 24v system with this trolling motor please let me know.
  4. felt the full line up at the classic. Very very solid feeling rods. Talked to Alex Davis about them and he gave me a rundown on the features.
  5. So I bought my first boat its a 2012 Lund 1625 rebel xl with a 60hp mercury with 12 hours. currently it has a Minn Kota power drive V2 on it. The main problem I have with this trolling motor is the foot pedal. Can I buy a new foot pedal and keep the motor? Another thing I wanna add is A Ultrex 80lb I understand that is a huge motor for a little boat but I want the accessories that it comes with. I also wanna get a nice set of graphs on the boat. Looking at dual Helix 7's to start both of ram mounts so I can move them and take them off. Keep in mind I am a 14-year-old who worked hard to buy the boat not given to me. That is the main reason I went with this boat is that i have fished tournaments for 2 years as a Co and I wanna learn to fish them as a Boater. Looking for advice,Thank you for the help
  6. I have fished both but exactly what Tyler said the Md/DD series is the older version and the cloud series is the newer version. Both work very well they each hit some different depth ranges I think that the MD/DD series is a little bit bigger baits but I enjoy fishing the 250Md A lot and same with the cloud 9 c15.
  7. If you could spend a day fishing with any persons who would it be? I know my choice is Brandon Pauliniuk he is someone I have wanted to fish with for the longest time.
  8. This is an extremely late response but Shimano corrected themselves and sent a brand new curado 201kxg.
  9. I agree with you In the fact of prerigging rods, I have a rod locker full of rigged rods I just don't think leaves plastics rigged in boxes. I don't find that useful and time efficient
  10. I have bought some and they are alright I think I flipped em once and took it off and went to a D Bomb. I see no purpose in having baits pre-rigged Because I have way too many baits to do that It would end up a huge mess. The snap just is another weak link and I retie a good amount anyways cause I'm normally fishing for money. That's what I take out of all this.
  11. Hardbaits - 6th sense jigs - dirty jigs plastics - I fish rage tail products alot but also like some zoom, Berkely and missle stuff I think that every company has a bait that they make really well
  12. I can see what you are thinking and I flip a lot of milfoil and other grass But i have a 744 champion that can do most of it and a 7,6 heavy cashion that does the rest but I think that fliiping isnt a struggle to get the fish out if you set the hook hard enough and if you just winch em in. I personally never see myself using that big of a rod becuase The tournemnts I fish their is no nets so I would have the rod so far behind me to be able to lip or belly grab the fish.
  13. It always seemed like the Alx's where on sale at Cabelas whenever I would stop in.
  14. The 6th sense flat 75 is a killer I crank a ton in cold water and that's one of my favorite baits
  15. Bought another Curado K that I found for 100 and a ton of baits had to refill the beaver box.
