That’s odd, the Sportsman’s Warehouse that I went to had great customer service and they knew a lot about their fishing stock. They steered me away from the Lew’s that I was going to buy and introduced me into my Curado K.
You owned a car for 4 years. You named it Brad. You loved Brad. And then you totaled him. You two had been through everything together. 2 boyfriends, 3 jobs, nothing could replace Brad. Then Liberty Mutual calls, and you break into your happy dance.
I don’t know how heavy your catfish are but that snap swivel and hook looks weak. I’d also put the weight up higher so the bait is off the bottom. What # line is that? 15?
Illinoian here, if it’s midday and very hot, I’d go with the Ned rig, a ribbon tailed worm, or top water. If it’s not midday you could still use the Ned rig or a Senko. Stay cool. ?
I don’t think Boca Bearings would help nor a new rod. A really good cleaning might help the Citica, how well did you clean it? Did you soak the bearings, degrease the gears, regrease the gears and oil the bearings, the whole works?
Try a weedless magnum bass stopper worm, it’s a majorly underrated bait. If you slow roll it, the bass will swim up and swallow it, hooking themselves.
Looking for an aftermarket/diy spool that would work for my Curado K. I haven’t seen any. If there aren’t any, do you think that there will be in the near future?
Either one will be a quality reel, both are owned by Pure Fishing. I think my regular Mitchell 300 is comparable to a Pflueger President, they are almost equally smooth.
