  1. This poor guy is going to have to make a new account with all the notifications he’s getting.
  2. JB WELD is an epoxy, it takes 24hrs to dry, good for hard baits though
  3. The title was misleading, still quite a bit of money for that particular reel.
  4. Wasn’t planning on it
  5. That’s only $30 off
  6. What techniques will you use?
  7. Sensitivity and strong are the main advantages of a one piece. While 2 piece are more portable and storable.
  8. The new Curado’s side plate is kind of difficult to open, when the spool tension is tightened, so is the side plate latch.
  9. I like my Mitchell 300, same price range.
  10. I’m thinking a Dobyns Fury.
  11. I had my Curado K take a swim too, it feels a little rough and the thumbar isn’t smooth either. It was in the water fully submerged for about 2 seconds. Should I get it cleaned?
  12. 2x, I almost hope he lives somewhere cold!
  13. Just because you used spincast reels doesn’t mean using a baitcaster will be easier. The Black Max won’t perform great with saltwater or big catfish.
  14. Thank you for the information!

  16. Only have a reel right now, no rod yet, still deciding. My plan is to have a MH rod for everything, then have a MM rod for topwater and treble hook lures. I have a Curado 200K in a 6.2:1 gear ratio but don’t know which rod to put it on. I feel like I’d rather put it on the MH. I’d fish crankbaits down to about 20 feet or a little more/less, depending on the temperature. My rod and reel price is $200 total, which is slightly flexible. Opinions/Recommendations?
  17. The braid would be on top of the water and fluorocarbon would be underneath. I don’t think it matters so I just use monofilament.
  18. How do you decide when it’s time to upgrade? Clearly, money’s a factor, but other than that, why?
  19. I can cast a 1/2 or 5/8 oz weight without any brakes on my Curado K, no complaints here.
  20. I’ve heard that if you buy a higher end rod, there’s a much smaller difference between a one and two piece.
  21. How old was the rod? Do you know what graphite it was like the modulus? I assume it wasn’t cracked or anything.
  22. I will use 2 on and 2 off as well, sometimes I use 1 on and 3 off. It depends on the conditions and the lure.
  23. For rocky, use a football jig head.
