  2. Or if u took the earlier advice and told her no ER, I gotcha. Woulda Been the end of that story
  3. Haha this is a funny forum. Hooks her with the treble hook, one guy says why'd you take her to the hospital, someone wants no pictures, and he leaves his lures on the ground. Gorilla seriously tho ur lady and *ur kids * will laugh one day at this
  4. USA!!' Thank you everyone of you for putting everything at stake for myself and this country. shout out to our awesome police officers as well who deal with the worse people every single day and are treated like ****.
  5. Got 2 5 pounders on booyah, it's all I use. Black and blue! Black and blue! Trim the skirts some and there is not an "easier" frog to walk 180 to 180
  6. Nothing wrong with that either, I may disagree but this is America.
  7. That's exactly how it went in Missouri, but it was somewhat rainy and overcast. They all were in the deep thick hydrilla and I got skunked over the whole day. Jigs, soft plastics, topwater just nothing.
  8. Yes I make myself leave most my $ at home before gearing up. And my friends don't get why they don't get to throw my 12$ crankbaits
  9. Hats off to A-Jay and Lund boating company. This boat is unbelievable in every sense htthttps://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/profile/13860-a-jay/p://www.lundboats.com/explore-all-boats/
  10. I agree, a weightless plastic worm on 30 braid? That's not easy casting for someone newer
  11. STL fishing club what a dream, I'm thru high school tho
  12. We could make one, nobody I know likes to actually fish im not youth tho either
  13. Well I'm probably out of your guys range but I am in Missouri and like talking but I have fished the past 4 days. Very poor here in St. Louis, especially after the front came thru

  15. I spend almost all my money on fishing stuff ( I'm young I don't work a real job fyi) and don't regret it ever. My buddies will spend 80 bucks at the bar and I see that as all new tackle. When it comes to reel rod and line, I go and pay the extra money I find it to be a huge difference
  16. Robb is on point here again, I'd throw that brush hog definitely. Spinners are great now also and just burn em across the tops of grass beds, stumps, etc.You could also throw a weighted fluke which I had Luck with last week. I guess ur in Ohio from profile so I'd probably be punching and pitching any submerged stuff before I'd throw a frog. Spooks great but ur obviously running a risk with pads and grass. I think the cold front moved in yesterday so be patient, slow and be confident.
  17. What a guy! Ohboyitsrobby #2024 Your definitely going to be able to find some good places in at least one those states, if not all. Find the old locals in town
  18. The cold fronts every week or 2 We have been experiencing (St. Louis) has been brutal. The fish are very sporadic as well so if u fish from shore (myself). It's a challenge but I enjoy it. The temps at night are going to 30s this week and the cold rains we have had made it so tough. I got 0 bites in 12 hours yesterday, still had some fun but it was long. Anyone else been successful around STL?
  19. Great investments especially the rod. When practicing casting and ur worried about backlash, just put a piece of electrical tape where u wont need anymore line for practice, that way u can only backlash so far. When I first began also i used to cast and switch like that and missed 100 hits on jigs falling probably, took a week of 15 minutes per day honestly to fix and now can cast both hands
  20. You gotta do your own research, go to stores and see how u like the feel, see how you like the rod. Get an idea now what ur sorta wanting and narrow it down thru reviews and research. Take your time. Yes MH is good choice and I'd recommend like a lews baitcaster, reliable and easy to figure out and learn. Show up at the pond like 30 mins before u start, just observe. Wear all dark clothes and don't bring anyone who could ruin it for ya. Go on a warm evening if there's any left or just before a fronts moving in. Become a ninja seriously or full moon!
  21. Go at night time, and old 10ib mono ain't gonna cut it especially with cover she's gonna bust for Perfectly said
  22. Caught in a public pond at about 10am on black n blue booyah frog. I retrieved so slowly so I was just barely causing him to make commotion next to the two downed trees. Not sure the picture does the justice since I was alone but I estimated 3 something probably. ( feel free to voice ur opinion on size) someone else said over 4 but I don't know This is the spot he blew up on it. Just to the left of the left branch...
  23. This is all my opinion and what I do , not saying ur doing it wrong or anything and I'm just throwing out ideas for u, not trying to be the expert, I got skunked today anyway 1) how pressured is the lake? Do they see these lures all the time? 2) Keep in mind u mention it's very clear and you can see them. Try wearing dark clothes and literally creep up. I fish clear ponds all the time and it's crucial you do this. 3) Ur baits got to be quite hitting the water more so than usual. You need to have some ability to pitch and definitely casting with accuracy. Usually I'm always pitching/flipping a pond and avoiding long casts unless it's my frog. 3a) throw the frog into trees and bushes and make him fall gently (especially overhanging trees) - walking the frog is almost a must in open water between grass "beds" 4) If ur using braid make sure it's very small diameter and as clear as u can get it . 5) I'd suggest a finesse jig (Eakins specifically) 6) work the pond quickly until something ques you in on where, what they are hitting. Every detail. 7) I always move if i snag and brake branches or something. May sound crazy but pond fish are much more finicky. That's why it's rare to see giant bass pulled from public ponds (assuming they are there). 8) My my most successful pond fishing comes at night time, dead quiet. Just very dim light on the water, dont play music, don't smoke near you gear. It all sounds anal and insane but I'm only saying what I try to do and avoid. And it's worked for myself 9) use google earth and u can tell where deeper parts are located. 10) Be confident, I promise u Will get a good one with persistence.
  24. I think and have experienced that the problem is usually the person casting due to the reel dialed In Wrong or poor casting abilitys, I've used both and went with booyah pretty quick. I could absolutely launch both frogs probably nearly identical distances. Cream of the crop below
  25. So I fish a pond with some big big bass and no one fishes since no one can put in the time or effort to do so because there is a ton of hydrilla (not on top) but huge patches everywhere. When topwater isn't on or a good choice I always wanna just keep throwing jigs there and im fine at pitching to open holes, watching my line, and feeling what's what , but every retrieve I'm picking 2 pounds of stuff off. Ive thrown so many different jig heads and line but I have to keep my braid pound 30 on in this stuff. Throwing 3/4 or an ounce is only worse also. I wanna be able to just keep hitting hole after hole without picking grass every cast. Suggestions please? Sorry best pic I have
