  1. Our source for Dale Hollow, Bobby Gentry, told us, "We have had some wild weather changes this year. The bite has been good if you follow the shad. Swim baits have been good and crank baits also so you can cover lots of water. I have had some nice fish on Ned rigs and jigs. Jerk baits on windy points can also work for you. Use shad pattern and natural colors for best results. Green pumpkin and brown and orange are some of my colors I like this time of the year. Call me anytime 279-427-0419 or look on facebook, Bobby Gentry, Dale Hollow Lake Fishing or look for my website, www.bobbygentry.com. Thank You." This was posted 5 days ago on a website I use for fishing reports. Hope this reaches you before you leave. Good luck and have fun!
  2. Thanks for the info guys.
  3. Thanks man. I did have it trimmed all the way down. Any idea which way it should go? Up or down?
  4. Ok so I just installed a manual jack plate (6” setback) on my boat. It’s an 18’ Skeeter with a 90hp engine. The only reason for the install was fishing shallow water. The first time on the water with it I could NOT get it up in plane! It would point straight toward the sky and never sit down. Before I installed it I never once had an issue getting on plane. Unfortunately I was fishing a tournament so I didn’t won’t to waste time tinkering with it and besides that I really wasn’t sure what way to go with it. I’m going to call the dealer that installed it tomorrow and find out what I should do but in the mean time I’m needing some answers! haha So if anybody has any suggestions or know whats going on please let me know. Thanks.
  5. I just watched the video in how to remove the hook with fishing line and now I can't wait for my fishing buddy to hook himself so I can try it!!! haha
  6. Well to update y'all I hooked the on board charger up to the cranking battery and it successfully chargers both batteries! Nothing burned down! haha I just thought the there was a reason for it not being connected and didn't want to burn down my rig lol Thanks for the advice guys.
  7. Thanks! Yea that's what had me confused too. It's seems he just taped it up and tucked it in behind the charger. It looks like it's never had any connectors put on it. I'll hook it up this evening and see what happens. Thanks again fellas!
  8. I just bought my first fiberglass boat. The previous owner installed an on board charger on it but only hooked it up to the trolling motor battery. Is there a reason he didn't hook it to the cranking battery too? It has another cord on it to hook up to another battery. The cranking battery has all the electronics hooked to it as well. Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance.
