Same here I was on another fishing forum and someone suggested I check out bass resource the other forum was mainly multi species not many well informed bass fishing.
I think I quoted the wrong person but well you guys get the point of how I ended up here.
When I first started fishing a frog I didn't know really how to walk the frog correctly or nothing. I just started throwing the frog and tried to mimic a frog on the water this is how I got my first frog fish. I know how to walk a frog or use a popping frog but just mimicking a frog still works. Keep it simple focus on your hook set.?
California has been devastated by drought ponds completely dried up small lakes drained to be used for other purposes. We have gotten some relief this year with El Niño but it's over and who knows what is ahead. Fishing is tuff in lakes where many fish died. My best advice for fishing in a drought means taking longer drives where the drought hasn't impacted that much it's worth it. I heard Georgia has some Great Lakes to fish.
I'm dealing with the dog days of summer here in California as well it's hard to get out there on the lake you have to push yourself to get out of the a/c.
Lol that's funny
Good question tho, it's a trailer made from pork skin I think I don't use them, the old timers are more well informed on fishing them I do they are popular in winter
I been tying a polomar forever it's been the only knot I use? But I did just recently change my lines from a copolymer to fluorocarbon and thats when the problem started I agree with you on my tying I may have to start slowing it down and making sure the knot is correctly tied I may not even have to change knots however I am still going to tie a sandiego jam try it out.
You can use a senko as a trailer I've never done it, but there is Mikey balls on you tube who likes to wacky rig a senko on a skirted flipping jig and it seems to produce good in the lake he fishes? The only way to find out is to try it?
I like using a rage craw I bite a little off of it and use it as a trailer. I like summer craw color or green pumpkin black flake the more action you want in warm water the more suddle action in cold water as mentioned below. These are some of my jig colors I throw and I throw these in both stained water and clear.
I have a hard time tying a polo mar knot directly to a spinner bait specially with fluorocarbon it frays a lot and I have to rety the knot over a couple of times, and I don't like using snaps with my spinnerbaits.whats the best knot when tying directly to a spinnerbait?
