  1. Grease is what you’re supposed to put in that maintenance port but no worries it won’t harm your reel. Open up the port squeeze some grease against the teeth of the main gear and turn the knob to get the grease spread evenly. Should be fine.
  2. Xcalibur xcs100s & LC RTOs
  3. Sensitivity your missing out on sensitivity. But your having a lot of fun with nice baitcasters.
  4. So what your saying is if he get a medium he’s actually getting a medium heavy? That’s Ridiculous OP said he’s getting a medium and I think that for his intended purpose that will work.
  5. How long you have been using these rods to me is not of any importance to me. You could have been fishing theses rods since 88 I really don’t care and I apologize for being so blunt but I do believe I’m entitled to my own opinion. You have your opinion and I have mine and that’s the bottom line I think you’re wrong and you believe I’m wrong we’re both entitled to our own opinion and I don’t believe st croix rods are rated any heavier than they rated and specially don’t believe they have a stiff tip IMO
  6. St croix rods don’t fish fairly heavy in my opinion their rods have a very forgiving tip medium fast is fine.
  7. These are the best stick baits on the market without a doubt my fav?rite. Cast them out there sink rate is fast but not to fast that it doesn’t have a good wiggle on the way down. They are heavier so you can actually fish them on a tighter line versus semi slack and just give it a wiggle just a little wiggle and with that scent! ? bam!!!!! I love these things!
  8. I think you’re on target. now you just have to pull the trigger.
  9. The good colorsi wanted and personally feel will be effective for me are on backorder on tw so you might wanna go threw their website.
  10. Well I don’t know your carrier but I tried ups and usps both charged 40 plus, here California . Anyhow to much hassle. I’ve sold rods on Craigslist locally pretty easily and reels threw eBay very conveniently. Ugly sticks won’t break but the guides break pretty often, I don’t know about the way they were built ten years ago but I don’t buy ugly sticks no more because of the guides.
  11. Shipping for rods is like 40$ last time I tried to sell a rod on here I rather sell or buy rods locally.
  12. Ugly stick makes for a good cranking rod but as far as bass fishing that’s all I would ever consider using it for.
  13. Didn’t even have to see it in action it’s on back order already. ? dam monkey I tell you!
  14. When you say worms are you talking senkos or trick worms?
  15. I threw a fluke a lot this year but then I got a pack of the Generals max scent, and I can tell you those are the most evilest of all the stick baits.?
  16. They don’t take pay pal? ? Will have to be threw tw I suppose?
  17. Very nice! I wasn’t crazy about the colors but seeing them in the picture I see three that I’m adding to my collection.
  18. Military must have left you with a really decent pension!
  19. Savage gear has one on tackle ware house looks pretty decent.
  20. Looks like a sweet deal for a small kayak any thoughts, it’s this or the old town top water 106 non pedal drive ? I don’t want 12 footer I drive a car and want something easy to car top.
  21. I’m just going to get it on Black Friday on tackle warehouse I’m not in a rush but I’m definitely getting one.
  22. Theirs no need for mono in my book mono is completely useless. A good coploymer or floro is all you need Yozuri hybrid or pline Cx premium are the perfect lines for moving baits and cheap. Pline tactical florocarbo for all your bottom baits is my recommendation best floro I’ve ever used. Cx premium and pline tactical both on sale at discount tackle https://discounttackle.com/pages/tackle-4-life
  23. I’m fully aware op has resolved his issue which I have previously struggled with as well however I want to throw my two cents in. Polomar knot 90 perfect of the time no matter what line if you do it rite you won’t Fray your floro one way of doing this is by keeping your finger in the loop wile sinching down the line till it’s almost closed and of course moisten the line.
